Two Gold’s Gym branches, two prices: Jalandhar’s clearest rate cards
Jalandhar is one of the few Punjab cities where you can compare two branches of the same chain line by line. Gold’s Gym India lists two gyms in the city, one in Model Town and one on 66 Feet Road in Jalandhar Heights 1, and both publish their annual price with every charge broken out. They are the firmest numbers for gym fees in Jalandhar, so we start with them. Both were checked in October 2026.
| Line on the card | Model Town (Rampaa Centre Point) | Jalandhar Heights 1 (66 Feet Road) |
|---|---|---|
| Annual membership | ₹24,000 | ₹34,000 |
| Enrolment fee | ₹1,000 | ₹1,000 |
| GST at 5% | ₹1,250 | ₹1,750 |
| Total for the year | ₹26,250 | ₹36,750 |
| Works out to | about ₹2,190 a month | about ₹3,060 a month |
| Monday to Saturday | 6 AM to 10 PM | 5 AM to 10 PM |
| Sunday | 8 AM to 2 PM | 8 AM to 12 PM |
The same brand costs ₹10,500 more a year at Jalandhar Heights than in Model Town. For that, the Heights branch opens an hour earlier on weekdays, which matters if you want to train at 5 AM before work, but closes two hours earlier on Sundays. Both cards charge GST on the enrolment fee as well as the membership: ₹1,250 is 5% of ₹25,000. And both list only an annual plan; if you want to pay month by month, ask at the desk and expect a higher monthly rate.
What the rest of Jalandhar’s gyms charge
Most gyms in Jalandhar, whether in Model Town, Adarsh Nagar, Urban Estate or along the GT Road, don’t publish a fee. The best available guide is Numbeo’s crowd-sourced cost-of-living page for Jalandhar, updated on 11 October 2026. It puts a monthly fitness club membership for one adult at an average of ₹1,625, with answers ranging from ₹500 to ₹4,000. The page draws on 257 entries from nine contributors over the previous 12 months.
| Type of gym | Per month | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Basic neighbourhood gym, lowest reported | ₹500 | Numbeo, lowest answer |
| Typical Jalandhar gym | about ₹1,625 | Numbeo average |
| Gold’s Gym Model Town, on an annual card | about ₹2,190 | Branch rate card |
| Gold’s Gym Jalandhar Heights 1, on an annual card | about ₹3,060 | Branch rate card |
| Top of reported fees | ₹4,000 | Numbeo, highest answer |
| Anytime Fitness, New Jawahar Nagar | Not published | Club page |
So an ordinary Jalandhar gym costs a little over ₹1,600 a month, and the published branded cards sit at about ₹2,200–3,100 once you spread a year across 12 months. The gap between a local gym and Gold’s Gym Model Town is only about ₹550 a month, small enough that equipment, hours and the drive should decide it rather than price alone.
Anytime Fitness in New Jawahar Nagar
Jalandhar’s round-the-clock option is Anytime Fitness, on the second and third floors of MKC Mall, 461 New Jawahar Nagar. Its page says the gym is open 24 hours, while the staffed office hours show as closed on every day of the week. It publishes no membership price: the page invites you to visit, call or fill in a membership enquiry. It mentions personalised coaching and personalised plans, also without prices.
When you enquire, ask for the monthly and yearly prices with GST shown separately, whether there is a joining or access-card fee, whether you can freeze the membership, and whether your card works at the chain’s other clubs if you travel to Ludhiana. Get the answers on WhatsApp or paper so you have them later.
Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Burlton Park and Jalandhar’s free options
Jalandhar’s biggest free fitness space is the Guru Gobind Singh Stadium. According to its Wikipedia entry, the 22,000-seat stadium is used by local people most of the time to stay fit, for jogging, football and weight-lifting, and is open from 5 AM to 10 PM. We found no published entry fee; ask at the gate about current rules before you plan a routine there.
Burlton Park is due for a rebuild. In June 2025 The Tribune reported that the Punjab Government had announced plans to turn it into a sports complex with a cricket stadium, an AstroTurf hockey ground, football grounds, volleyball and basketball courts and a jogging track. One contributor to the same piece said the revamp had been inaugurated and work would begin soon. No gym or fee has been announced.
Open-air gyms are on the way in parts of the city. In October 2025, The Tribune reported that the Fit Central campaign in the Jalandhar Central constituency had renamed the Old Baradari park as Varinder Singh Ghumman Park, after the bodybuilder, and opened volleyball and badminton courts there. The constituency’s AAP in-charge said open gyms, running tracks and children’s play areas were being developed across Jalandhar Central, and that works worth ₹20 crore had been completed at 31 locations. We couldn’t confirm which parks already have equipment.
Society gyms in Jalandhar’s newer townships
Jalandhar’s gated townships are adding their own gyms. In April 2025, The Tribune reported that a gym had opened inside Jalandhar Heights-II, a housing project by AGI Infra, run under the Magnum brand by AGI Sports Institute of India, with equipment for all age groups. The report gave no fee. Society gyms are often paid for through maintenance or a small separate charge, so ask your residents’ association what you are already paying for before you buy a membership somewhere else.
A society gym is often quiet at 6 AM and close enough to walk to, which removes the two biggest reasons people stop going. What it usually lacks is someone to write a plan and watch your form. That is the gap Personal Gym Training in Jalandhar fills: a certified coach on video, in whichever gym you already have.
Which Jalandhar gym fits your hours
Price matters less than whether a gym is open when you’re free. Jalandhar’s published timings differ more than its prices do, and a sports-goods trader, a doctor on rounds and a student at a coaching centre will each want a different slot. Here is what the published hours mean in practice.
| You want to train | Options with published hours | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Before 6 AM on a weekday | Anytime Fitness New Jawahar Nagar (24 hours); Gold’s Gym Jalandhar Heights 1 (from 5 AM); Guru Gobind Singh Stadium (from 5 AM) | Model Town’s Gold’s Gym opens at 6 AM |
| Late evening, after 9 PM | Anytime Fitness; both Gold’s Gym branches until 10 PM; the stadium until 10 PM | The Kapurthala branch also runs to 10 PM |
| Sunday afternoon | Anytime Fitness only, of the gyms with published hours | Gold’s Gym closes at 2 PM (Model Town) or noon (Heights 1) |
| At home, any day | No gym needed | A coach on video between 6 AM and 8 PM |
If none of these line up with your day, a cheaper gym close to home with ordinary hours may serve you better than a branded card you rarely use. The cost per visit is what counts: ₹26,250 spread over 150 visits a year is about ₹175 a visit, but over 50 visits it is ₹525.
The fine print on a Jalandhar gym bill
- GST is 5%, not 18%. Gym services have been taxed at 5% since 22 September 2025, without input tax credit, The Tribune reported. A card still showing 18% is out of date.
- GST applies to enrolment too. On both Gold’s Gym Jalandhar cards, the 5% is charged on the ₹1,000 enrolment fee as well as the membership.
- Annual-only pricing. The Gold’s Gym pages show only yearly plans. Monthly plans, if offered, aren’t published.
- Short Sundays. Model Town shuts at 2 PM and Jalandhar Heights 1 at noon on Sundays. If your free time is Sunday afternoon, that matters.
- Fog season. If you tend to skip December and January, ask how many days you can pause a yearly plan before you pay for one.
Pairing a Jalandhar gym with a coach on video
