Gym fees in Hyderabad: monthly costs by type of gym
Hyderabad's gym prices split three ways: free or nominal public facilities run by GHMC, independent neighbourhood gyms that rarely publish prices, and chains such as Gold's Gym and Cult.fit that do. This table converts each to a monthly figure. Published prices were checked on 27 October 2026; estimates are labelled with their source.
| Type of gym | Price | About per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open gym in a GHMC park | Free, within park rules | ₹0 | Siasat, 2025 |
| GHMC sports complex gym | Nominal (₹50–100 membership reported in 2017) | Ask the complex | Deccan Chronicle |
| KBR Park walking pass (no gym) | ₹770 a month or ₹2,750 a year (2023) | ₹230–770 | The News Minute |
| Budget neighbourhood gym | ₹800–1,200 a month | ₹800–1,200 | magicpin, 2026 |
| Mid-range gym | ₹1,200–2,500 a month | ₹1,200–2,500 | magicpin, 2026 |
| cultpass PRO or ELITE, longest plan | From ₹895 or ₹1,198 a month | ₹895–1,198 | cult.fit |
| Gold's Gym, annual plan | ₹26,775–₹50,000 a year with enrolment and GST | about ₹2,230–4,170 | Gold's Gym branch pages |
| Premium club with pool | ₹2,500–5,000 a month | ₹2,500–5,000 | magicpin, 2026 |
The average gym fees in Hyderabad per month, by magicpin's April 2026 estimates, sit between ₹800 and ₹2,500 for most independent gyms. The chain prices below show how much the answer moves with the plan length you choose.
Gold gym membership fees in Hyderabad, branch by branch
Gold's Gym is the chain Hyderabad searches ask about most, and it publishes annual prices for its branches on its own website. The spread is large: Madhapur costs almost twice as much as Himayat Nagar for the same 12 months. Each branch page below adds a ₹1,000 enrolment fee and 5% GST at checkout.
| Branch | Annual fee | Total with ₹1,000 enrolment and 5% GST | Per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Himayat Nagar | ₹24,500 | ₹26,775 | about ₹2,230 |
| Kondapur | ₹39,457 | ₹42,480 | about ₹3,540 |
| Madhapur | ₹46,619 | ₹50,000 | about ₹4,170 |
Gold gym membership fees in Hyderabad per month aren't listed on these pages; they sell annual plans. Divided by 12, the totals work out at roughly ₹2,230 to ₹4,170 a month, which sits inside magicpin's ₹2,500–5,000 estimate for premium clubs at the upper end and just below it at Himayat Nagar. If you want to pay monthly, call the branch and ask; where monthly plans exist, they cost more per month than the annual one.
Why the gap between branches? The pages don't say. Location, floor size, equipment and extras such as a pool or steam room usually explain differences like this, so compare what each branch includes before deciding the cheaper one is the better deal.
Cult fit gym fees in Hyderabad
Cult.fit listed 150+ centres in Hyderabad on 27 October 2026. On the Cult Gachibowli centre page, the city-wide cultpass ELITE, which covers group classes plus ELITE and PRO gyms, cost ₹7,344 for a single month, ₹10,390 for three months, ₹14,050 for six, ₹17,250 for twelve (shown as ₹1,438 a month) and ₹28,750 for twenty-four (₹1,198 a month). Longer packs include pause days, from 5 on a 3-month pass to 60 on a 24-month pass.
The same page offered SELECT, unlimited access to Cult Gachibowli alone, from ₹1,188 a month, and ELITE PLUS, which adds centres in other cities, from ₹1,316 a month. cultpass PRO, for PRO gyms only, started at ₹895 a month on Cult's Hyderabad listing page. Cult notes that its monthly figures include any free extension running at the time, so the real monthly cost depends on the offer on the day you buy.
GHMC gyms and sports complexes: the cheapest indoor option
Hyderabad's municipal corporation runs gyms of its own. In 2017, the Deccan Chronicle reported GHMC gym halls in 150 divisions and in its sports complexes, and quoted a GHMC official saying anyone could become a member of a GHMC sports complex for a nominal fee of ₹50–100. We couldn't find a current published GHMC gym fee in October 2026, so the reliable way to get today's rate is to ask at the complex or your circle office.
Expect basic equipment, busy early mornings and no personal coaching unless you pay extra. For someone starting out, a GHMC gym plus a structured plan is the lowest-cost way to train with weights in Hyderabad.
Open gym parks in Hyderabad, and what KBR Park charges
There are free outdoor options across the city. GHMC has installed an open gym of about 27 machines at Public Gardens near Lakdikapul, aimed especially at older people and women, and Indira Park, Jalagam Vengala Rao Park in Banjara Hills and Malkam Cheruvu Park near Chitrapuri Colony also have open-air equipment, according to a September 2025 Siasat round-up. Malkam Cheruvu's is part of GHMC's neighbourhood fitness initiative.
KBR National Park in Jubilee Hills works differently: the forest department runs it and charges walkers. In January 2023, after a 10% increase, an annual pass cost ₹2,750 (₹1,870 for senior citizens), a monthly pass ₹770 and a single adult entry ₹45, The News Minute reported. Active passes were capped at 5,000, and monthly passes at 500, issued only in the first five days of each month, so plan ahead if you want one.
Walking and park machines are a good base, but they won't build much strength on their own. Our guide to running tracks in Hyderabad covers the city's routes, and personal home training in Hyderabad adds coached strength work at home for the days you don't walk.
Neighbourhood and community gyms
Most Hyderabad gyms are independent, with one or two branches, and very few put prices online. magicpin's Hyderabad guide (updated April 2026) estimates budget gyms at ₹800–1,200 a month, mid-range gyms at ₹1,200–2,500 and premium clubs with pools at ₹2,500–5,000. It's a deals platform's estimate, so use it to know what's normal and get the real price at the desk.
If you live in a gated community in Gachibowli, Kondapur, Kokapet or Manikonda, check the clubhouse before paying anyone: many include a gym for residents. Personal gym training in Hyderabad is designed for exactly those gyms, with a coach on video planning around whatever machines are there.
Is an annual gym plan worth it in Hyderabad?
Hyderabad's published prices make the case for longer plans and show the risk. At Cult, a single month costs ₹7,344 and a year costs ₹17,250, less than three single months. At Gold's Kondapur, the year costs ₹42,480 with enrolment and GST. Both are good value if you train all year, and poor value if you stop in March.
- Stopping early is expensive. A 12-month Cult pass used for only three months works out at ₹5,750 a month, more than a 3-month pass would have cost at ₹3,463 a month.
- Plan for the hottest weeks. If you tend to stop training in April and May, buy a plan with enough pause days (Cult allows 30 on a 12-month pass), or switch to indoor training at home for those weeks instead of paying for a gym you don't use.
- Short contracts suit short horizons. Students, people on project assignments and anyone likely to move across the city should favour shorter plans, even at a higher monthly rate.
GST and the small print in Hyderabad
- GST is 5%. Gym and health club services have carried 5% GST since 22 September 2025, down from 18%, after a GST Council decision reported by PTI. Gold's Hyderabad checkout pages show 5%.
- Enrolment. The Gold's branches above add ₹1,000 to the annual fee. Ask every gym about joining fees, and whether they're waived on longer plans.
- Pauses. Cult lists pause days by pass length. Gold's branch pages don't state a freeze policy, so ask for it in writing.
- Timings in Ramzan and festivals. Ask whether the gym changes its hours during Ramzan or closes for festivals, and whether those days are added back.
- Air-conditioning and power backup. In a city with long, hot summers, ask whether the air-conditioning runs all day and whether there's a generator.
- 1
Visit at 7 PM, not 11 AM
See the gym at the hour you'll train. A quiet late-morning floor can be crowded after office hours in HITEC City and Madhapur.
- 2
Test the drive
A gym across a flyover or the Outer Ring Road can be close on the map and a long drive at peak hour. Try the route at your training time.
- 3
Ask what coaching is included
General floor help is usually free; one-to-one training isn't. Our guide to personal trainer fees in Hyderabad covers what trainers charge.
