What a month at a Ludhiana gym costs in 2026
Very few gyms in Ludhiana put a price on the internet. Most quote at the counter, and the figure moves with the season, the offer of the week and how long you commit for. So the honest way to answer “what are gym fees in Ludhiana?” is to collect every number that is actually published, say who published it, and turn it into a monthly cost you can compare. Every figure below was checked in October 2026.
| Where | What is published | Roughly a month | How firm the number is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget and premium gyms in Model Town | From ₹500 a month to ₹3,000 and more at centres with pools and classes | ₹500–3,000+ | Directory estimate (magicpin) |
| What Ludhiana residents report paying | Average ₹1,450; answers from ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 | ₹1,450 | Crowd survey (Numbeo, 7 contributors) |
| Gold’s Gym, GT Road, Khanna (Ludhiana district) | ₹23,625 for a year, with enrolment and 5% GST | about ₹1,970 | Branch rate card |
| Anytime Fitness, Dugri and Ferozepur Road | No price online; membership on enquiry | Not published | Club pages |
| FITPASS multi-gym subscription | ₹1,750 or ₹2,083 a month, depending on plan | ₹1,750–2,083 | Plan price on FITPASS |
| Guru Nanak Stadium sports complex | No general gym listed; youth sports coaching is free | ₹0 for coaching | District Sports Office |
Read together, the numbers point one way. An ordinary Ludhiana gym with free weights, machines and a few treadmills costs somewhere around ₹1,000–2,000 a month, which is what most people in the city actually pay. You can find less in older halls and more in places with a pool, steam room or group classes, but the middle of the market is narrow. If a gym on Pakhowal Road or in Sarabha Nagar quotes you ₹4,000 a month for the basics, ask what you’re getting that the ₹1,500 gym down the road doesn’t have.
Numbeo’s Ludhiana figure: seven residents, 86 entries
The most useful single number for gym membership in Ludhiana comes from Numbeo, a crowd-sourced cost-of-living site. Its Ludhiana page, updated on 26 October 2026, puts a monthly fitness club membership for one adult at an average of ₹1,450, with answers running from ₹1,000 to ₹2,000. The figure rests on 86 entries from seven different contributors over the previous 12 months.
That is a small sample, and it measures what people say they pay, not what a gym prints on a board. It is still the right yardstick for a first visit. A tight range like ₹1,000–2,000 means Ludhiana’s regular gyms compete closely on price, so the difference between them is mostly equipment, cleanliness, crowding at 6 PM and how far you have to drive. Those are the things to judge on a trial day, not the headline fee.
Anytime Fitness in Dugri and on Ferozepur Road
Anytime Fitness is the international chain with the clearest presence in Ludhiana. Its India site lists a club at SCO 90–91 in Phase-1 Urban Estate, Dugri, and another on the third and fourth floors of 460G–461G Ferozepur Road in BRS Nagar. Both pages describe the gym floor as open 24 hours, while the staffed office hours show as closed on every day, so you’ll need to call, use the membership enquiry form or walk in to get a price.
Neither Ludhiana page publishes a membership fee. The Dugri club lists personal training, small group training and a fitness assessment among its services, also without prices. When you visit, ask four things in writing: the monthly and annual price with GST shown separately, whether there is a joining or key-card fee, whether the 24-hour access applies from your first day, and whether you can pause the membership for travel or a wedding month.
Is there a Gold’s Gym in Ludhiana? The Khanna branch as a benchmark
Gold’s Gym India’s gym locator lists nine branches in Punjab in October 2026: Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, two in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Khanna, Kharar, Mohali and Pathankot. None is in Ludhiana city. The nearest, Gold’s Gym Khanna GT Road, is in Ludhiana district, and it is worth knowing because it publishes its full annual rate card.
| Line on the rate card | Amount |
|---|---|
| Annual membership | ₹21,500 |
| Enrolment fee | ₹1,000 |
| GST at 5% | ₹1,125 |
| Total for the year | ₹23,625 |
| Works out to | about ₹1,970 a month |
| Hours, Monday to Saturday | 6 AM to 1 PM and 4 PM to 9 PM |
| Sunday | Closed |
Two things stand out. First, the GST of ₹1,125 is 5% of ₹22,500, so the tax is charged on the enrolment fee as well as the membership. Second, the gym closes between 1 PM and 4 PM and all of Sunday, which matters if your free time is a long lunch break or a Sunday morning. At about ₹1,970 a month, a branded gym in the district costs only a little more than Numbeo’s Ludhiana average, which tells you the brand premium in this part of Punjab is modest.
Ludhiana gym fees in 2012, and what has changed
For a sense of how far prices have moved, The Tribune’s February 2012 round-up of gyms in Chandigarh and Ludhiana listed Prime Bodies in Ludhiana at ₹3,000 a quarter, which is ₹1,000 a month. The same feature gave Oceanic Gym, which had branches in Ludhiana and the Tricity, a membership fee of ₹15,000, without saying what period that covered.
Set ₹1,000 a month in 2012 beside today’s ₹1,450 average and the rise is real but gentle over 14 years. The bigger change is choice: 24-hour clubs, multi-gym passes and chain branches in nearby towns now sit alongside the neighbourhood halls that dominated in 2012. That gives you room to bargain, because a Ludhiana gym owner knows you can walk to another one.
Free and public places to train in Ludhiana
Ludhiana does not have a city-run gym with a published fee that we could find. What it does have is the Guru Nanak Stadium and sports complex in the city. According to the Ludhiana District Sports Office, the stadium is floodlit, seats 15,000, and has an eight-lane synthetic track with a two-lane warm-up track and a football ground. There is an indoor basketball hall with a synthetic surface, two outdoor courts, and a multipurpose hall for gymnastics, judo, wrestling, volleyball and handball.
The District Sports Office says its 39 coaches train young boys and girls free of cost and provide sports equipment free as well. That is sport coaching for promising youngsters, not a gym membership for adults, and the office’s page lists no general gym. If you have a teenager who wants to run or play basketball seriously, it is the first place to ask. If you are an adult who wants a weights room, you will still need a private gym or a home set-up.
Outdoor training is the other free option, and in Ludhiana it is seasonal. Winter fog makes dawn sessions unpleasant from December into January, and May afternoons are hot. If you’d rather ride than lift, our guide to cycling in Ludhiana covers routes, clubs and the best months.
The costs that don’t appear on a Ludhiana gym’s board
- GST at 5%. Gym services have been taxed at 5% since 22 September 2025, down from 18%, The Tribune reported. Ask whether a quoted price includes it. On the Khanna rate card it adds ₹1,125 a year.
- Enrolment. Gold’s Gym charges ₹1,000 on top of the membership. Many local gyms waive a joining fee during offers, so ask before you pay it.
- The fog-season gap. If you know you skip the gym in December and January, a 12-month plan bought in October may cost more per visit than paying month by month. Ask whether the plan can be paused.
- Free trials. magicpin’s Ludhiana listings say many gyms in Model Town offer one to three free trial days. Use them at the hour you actually plan to train.
- Annual-only cards. The Gold’s Gym branch pages in Punjab show only a yearly plan. A shorter plan may exist at the counter, usually at a higher monthly rate.

- 2
Get the price in writing
Ask for the monthly, quarterly and annual figure with GST and any enrolment fee listed separately.
- 3
Check the freeze rule
