Not medical advice
Our website, including the program and goal pages and the free calculators, and our coaching give general fitness information and exercise instruction. They're not a diagnosis, a treatment or a substitute for advice from a doctor or other qualified health professional.
Don't ignore professional medical advice, or delay getting it, because of something you read on our website or heard in a session.
What our coaches do
Our coaches are certified fitness trainers. They adapt exercises to the injuries and conditions you tell them about, and they work alongside your doctor's or physiotherapist's advice. They don't diagnose conditions, prescribe medication or treat injuries.
Rehab & Recovery is exercise coaching for after a doctor or physiotherapist has cleared you to exercise. It isn't physiotherapy or medical treatment.
See a doctor before you start if you:
- have a heart condition or high blood pressure;
- feel pain in your chest at rest, during daily activities or when you exercise;
- get dizzy or have fainted in the last 12 months;
- have diabetes, asthma or another long-term condition;
- have a bone, joint or muscle problem that could get worse with exercise;
- have had surgery, an injury or a fracture in the last 6 months;
- are pregnant or have given birth in the last 12 months;
- take medication that affects your heart rate, blood pressure or balance.
Our Health Declaration & Consent has the full set of questions to go through before your first session.
Exercise has risks
All physical activity carries some risk, from muscle soreness to strains and sprains and, rarely, more serious events. Because your coach guides you over video, they can't physically spot you or help you. You're responsible for training in a safe space, keeping your equipment in good condition, and stopping if you feel unwell.
Stop straight away and tell your coach if you feel chest pain or pressure, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, or sharp or increasing pain. In an emergency, call 112.
Calculators and numbers
Our BMI, BMR, calorie and protein calculators give estimates from standard formulas. Everyone's body and needs are different, and the results aren't suitable for diagnosing anything. If you're pregnant, have a medical condition or have a history of disordered eating, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before you change how you eat.
Nutrition guidance
Any food guidance from your coach is general and practical: protein targets, portions and simple swaps. It isn't a medical diet. If you have a medical condition or a food allergy, follow your doctor's or dietitian's advice.
Results vary
Examples, figures and descriptions of progress on our website show what's possible, not what's guaranteed. Your results depend on your starting point, your consistency, your health and many other things.
