Gym fees in Bangalore per month: the short version
Gym fees in Bangalore depend on the kind of gym far more than on the neighbourhood. The table puts each type side by side as a monthly figure, using the prices gyms publish where they exist and a deals platform's estimates where they don't. Everything was checked on 27 October 2026.
| Type of gym | Published or estimated price | Per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lalbagh walkers' hours, park open gyms | Free | ₹0 | Karnataka Tourism; Deccan Herald |
| Apartment clubhouse or tech-park gym | Covered by maintenance or employer | Varies | Ask your association or HR |
| Budget neighbourhood gym | ₹500–1,000 a month | ₹500–1,000 | magicpin, 2026 |
| Talwalkars or Snap Fitness | ₹1,500–2,500 a month | ₹1,500–2,500 | magicpin, 2026 |
| Gold's Gym, annual plan | ₹14,490–₹31,339 a year | about ₹1,210–2,610 | Gold's Gym branch pages |
| cultpass PRO or ELITE, longest plan | From ₹754 or ₹1,198 a month | ₹754–1,198 | cult.fit |
| cultpass ELITE, single month | ₹7,344 | ₹7,344 | cult.fit |
| CrossFit or F45-style studio | ₹4,000–8,000 a month | ₹4,000–8,000 | magicpin, 2026 |
The spread is wider than most lists suggest. A one-month Cult pass costs about five times the monthly equivalent of a 12-month one, and the cheapest Gold's Gym annual plan works out at less than half of what magicpin estimates for the chain. Where a published price and an estimate disagree, trust the published price, then confirm it at the desk.
Start with the gym you may already pay for
Before paying anyone in Bengaluru, check what you already have. Plenty of the city's gated apartment complexes along Sarjapur Road, in Whitefield, Hebbal and on Kanakapura Road have a clubhouse gym, paid for through the association's maintenance charges. Many tech parks in Whitefield, Bellandur and Manyata have an employee gym on site. Neither appears in any gym price list, and neither costs you anything extra.
The catch is usually the equipment. Clubhouse gyms often have a treadmill, a multi-station machine and a dumbbell rack that stops short of what a stronger lifter needs. Count what's there. Dumbbells up to around 20 kg, an adjustable bench and a cable or pulley station are enough for months of steady beginner and intermediate progress.
That's the situation personal gym training in Bengaluru is built for: a coach on live video plans each session around your clubhouse kit, so the gym you already pay for through maintenance actually gets used.
Free options: Lalbagh's walkers' hours and BBMP open gyms
Bengaluru's cheapest training space is outdoors. Karnataka Tourism lists Lalbagh Botanical Garden as free for walkers from 6 to 9 AM and from 6 to 7 PM, with an entry fee only in the daytime hours between. That's room for a brisk walk, intervals or a bodyweight circuit before work, at no cost.
Open-air gyms in parks are the other free option. In June 2017, the city's then mayor announced that the BBMP would build open gymnasiums in all 198 wards, after the city's first outdoor public gym opened at Circular Park in Nandini Layout, the Deccan Herald reported. We couldn't find a current count or a published list of how many were built, so check the park in your own ward. Outdoor machines are fine for moving more and light strength work; they don't let you add weight as you get stronger.
If the park gym is too basic and a membership feels like too much, personal home training in Bengaluru needs only a mat and some floor. Our guide to running tracks in Bengaluru covers the city's parks and loops in more detail.
Gold's Gym fees in Bangalore, branch by branch
Gold's Gym is one of the few chains that publishes Bengaluru prices, as an annual membership on each branch page. The difference between branches is more than ₹14,000 a year. Some pages add a ₹1,000 enrolment fee and 5% GST at checkout; others show a single figure.
| Branch | Annual price listed | Total with enrolment and GST | Works out per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whitefield | ₹14,490 | Not itemised on the page | about ₹1,210 |
| JP Nagar 3rd Phase | ₹17,571 + ₹1,000 enrolment | ₹19,500 | about ₹1,625 |
| Electronic City | ₹28,847 + ₹1,000 enrolment | ₹31,339 | about ₹2,610 |
magicpin's Bangalore guide (last updated April 2026) estimates Gold's Gym at ₹2,500–4,000 a month. The branch pages don't fit that range: an annual plan at Whitefield works out at under half its lower end, and even Electronic City only just reaches it. If you'd rather pay month by month, ask the branch whether it sells monthly plans and at what price, because monthly plans cost more per month wherever they're offered.
Cult gym fees in Bangalore: what the passes cost
Cult.fit says it has 300+ centres in Bangalore and sells access as passes rather than single-gym memberships. cultpass ELITE covers group classes and both ELITE and PRO gyms across the city; cultpass PRO covers PRO gyms, with limited class access. On Cult's Bangalore listing page, PRO started at ₹754 a month and ELITE at ₹1,198 a month on their longest plans. These were the ELITE prices on a Cult gym page in JP Nagar:
| Pass length | Price shown | Per month | Pause days included |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | ₹7,344 | ₹7,344 | None listed |
| 3 months | ₹10,390 | ₹3,463 | 5 |
| 6 months | ₹14,050 | ₹2,342 | 15 |
| 12 months | ₹17,250 | ₹1,438 | 30 |
| 24 months | ₹28,750 | ₹1,198 | 60 |
Two cautions. On one of our checks, the same JP Nagar page showed a different and higher set of prices (₹10,104 for a month, ₹25,790 for a year, with online workouts bundled), so what you see may depend on the offer running that day. And a single-centre option at that gym was listed from ₹1,168 a month plus ₹140 in taxes and fees, the one place on the page where tax was shown separately. Check the final amount at checkout, not the headline.
Neighbourhood gyms, budget chains and gym passes
Most of Bengaluru's gyms are one- or two-branch businesses above shops on main roads, and very few publish prices online. The best available estimate is magicpin's Bangalore guide, which puts local budget gyms at ₹500–1,000 a month, Talwalkars and Snap Fitness at ₹1,500–2,500, Gold's Gym and Anytime Fitness at ₹2,500–4,000, and CrossFit or F45-style studios at ₹4,000–8,000. magicpin is a deals platform, so these are secondary estimates. We couldn't find published Bengaluru prices from Anytime Fitness or Snap Fitness.
Search for a gym pass in Bangalore and you'll find two kinds. Cult's passes work across its own centres and partner gyms. Fitpass sells one membership for partner gyms in many cities; its Bengaluru page advertised plans at ₹2,083 and ₹1,750 a month in October 2026, and says it covers 12,000+ gyms and fitness centres across 150+ cities. A pass makes sense if your week is split between home in, say, Kalyan Nagar and an office in Manyata. If you'll only ever use one gym, a membership at that gym is usually cheaper.
Monthly, quarterly or annual: doing the maths
Long plans are where Bengaluru gym prices look lowest, and where most of the risk sits. Using Cult's ELITE prices above:
- Paying one month at a time costs ₹7,344 a month, so three months that way is ₹22,032.
- A 3-month pass costs ₹10,390, under half of that.
- A 12-month pass costs ₹17,250, about ₹1,438 a month, but only if you keep going. Stop after four months and you've effectively paid about ₹4,300 a month.
A sensible rule: buy the shortest plan you're sure you'll finish, then renew for longer. If you've never kept a gym habit past the first month, a 3-month plan is the cheapest way to find out. magicpin says annual memberships in Bangalore save 20–30%; the published prices above show bigger gaps at some chains, which is exactly why the long plan is tempting.
GST, joining fees and freezes
- GST is now 5%. The GST Council cut the rate on gym and health club services from 18% to 5%, without input tax credit, from 22 September 2025, PTI reported. Gold's Gym's Bengaluru checkout pages now add 5%. If a gym quotes 18%, ask why.
- Enrolment fees. Gold's JP Nagar and Electronic City branches add ₹1,000 to the annual price. Ask every gym whether a joining or admission fee applies, and whether it's waived on a longer plan.
- Freezes. Cult's ELITE passes include 5 to 60 pause days depending on length. Gold's branch pages don't state a freeze policy, so ask for it in writing. A membership you can't pause during a two-week work trip costs you two weeks.
- The price you actually pay. Check whether the quoted figure includes GST, enrolment and any locker or towel charges.
Before you pay: a Bengaluru checklist
- 1
Visit at your real training time
A gym that's quiet at 11 AM can have a queue for the squat rack at 7 PM. Go at the hour you'll actually train, on a weekday.
- 2
Time the trip in traffic
A gym that looks close on the map can be a long drive across the Outer Ring Road at 6 PM. Test the route at your hour, or pick one you can walk to.
- 3
Check parking and the rain
Ask where you'll park, and whether the approach floods in a heavy evening shower; that's when underpasses fill and short trips turn long.
- 4
Ask what floor help is included
Most gyms include general help on the floor; one-to-one training is extra. Our guide to personal trainer fees in Bangalore covers what that costs.
- 5
Read the transfer and refund terms
Can you move the membership to another branch, or to someone else, if you shift from Hebbal to HSR Layout? Get the answer in writing.
