Personal trainer fees in Delhi: hourly rates side by side
Ask five Delhi trainers their fee and you'll get five numbers, partly because nobody here publishes an official rate. Three kinds of evidence exist. A trainer marketplace shows what independents ask. A deals platform has estimated what the big chains charge. And the Delhi Development Authority, unusually, prints the monthly fee of the fitness coaching it contracts out at Siri Fort. We checked all of them on 27 October 2026.
| Who you hire | Rate | Where the figure comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Independent trainer listed in Delhi | ₹500–800 an hour, average ₹650 | UrbanPro Delhi page, updated 24 October 2026 |
| Gym trainer, UrbanPro's New Delhi estimate | ₹600–1,000 an hour | UrbanPro estimates by city |
| Trainer who comes to your flat | ₹500–800 an hour | UrbanPro Delhi page |
| Small group, per head | ₹400–640 an hour | UrbanPro Delhi page |
| Gold's Gym trainer | ₹1,500–2,500 a session | magicpin, updated 8 May 2026 |
| Cult.fit trainer | "A little extra fee"; amount not stated | Cult.fit's Delhi gym page |
| MakeMyFitness coach, live on video | ₹799 a session, about ₹589 on a 12-session plan | Our price list |
Turn those into a month and the gaps widen. Most people train with a coach two or three times a week, so the table below shows both. Chain figures are before the gym membership itself, which in Delhi runs from ₹19,490 to ₹40,999 a year at Gold's; our guide to gym fees in Delhi has the branch list.
| Option | Twice a week (8 sessions) | Three times a week (12 sessions) |
|---|---|---|
| Independent trainer at UrbanPro's ₹600–1,000 New Delhi rate | ₹4,800–8,000 | ₹7,200–12,000 |
| Gold's Gym trainer at ₹1,500–2,500 a session | ₹12,000–20,000 | ₹18,000–30,000 |
| Cult.fit package (magicpin estimate, Delhi and Mumbai) | Sold as a package | ₹15,000–25,000 |
| Personal Gym Training, live video | ₹6,392 (8 single sessions at ₹799) | ₹7,070 (4-week plan) |
| Personal Home Training, live video | ₹7,192 (8 single sessions at ₹899) | ₹8,080 (4-week plan, about ₹673 each) |
Gym trainer fees in Delhi, colony by colony
UrbanPro carried 1,430 gym and fitness listings for Delhi on the day we looked. Its headline average of ₹650 is the identical figure it prints for Noida and Gurgaon, which makes it more of a house number than a Delhi one. The first page of individual listings is more revealing, because each trainer names a colony and sets their own price:
| Colony or area | Per hour | Years training |
|---|---|---|
| Neb Sarai | ₹2,000 | 7 |
| Saket, first trainer | ₹1,500 | 12 |
| Saket, second trainer | ₹333 | 11 |
| I.P. Extension | ₹1,200 | 7 |
| Chhatarpur | ₹1,000 | 4 |
| Hauz Khas | ₹900 | 5 |
| Dwarka Sector 9 | ₹800 | 12 |
| Shakarpur | ₹700 | 6 |
| Ramesh Nagar | ₹700 | 5 |
| Lajpat Nagar | ₹500 | 10 |
| Pitampura | ₹500 | 4 |
Twenty-one listings on that page carried a price. Their median was ₹800 and their mean about ₹845; the cheapest asked ₹300 and the dearest ₹2,000. (One more listing showed ₹9,999, which we treated as a placeholder and ignored.) Read colony by colony, the list undercuts the idea that South Delhi trainers always cost more. Saket produced both a ₹333 and a ₹1,500 trainer, Lajpat Nagar's listed ₹500, and East Delhi's I.P. Extension asked ₹1,200. Years in the job were a weak guide too: a Dwarka trainer with 12 years asked ₹800, while one in Jamia Nagar with two years asked ₹1,500.
UrbanPro's separate estimates page groups New Delhi with Mumbai at ₹600–1,000 an hour, a notch above Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune at ₹500–800. For a trainer who will meet you at a gym in South or Central Delhi, budgeting from that higher range is the safer bet.
DDA's coached programmes at Siri Fort
Few Indian cities let you see what a government sports complex pays its fitness coaches to run classes. Delhi does. Siri Fort Sports Complex on August Kranti Marg lists each coaching agency, its batch timings and its monthly fee, with 5% GST already added:
| What's coached | Complex members | Others | Days and hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outdoor fitness, adults | ₹7,350 | ₹9,187.50 | Tuesday to Sunday, 6–11 AM and 4–9 PM |
| Aerobics | ₹2,625 | ₹3,281.25 | Tuesday to Saturday, morning and evening batches |
| Outdoor fitness, children | ₹3,150 | ₹3,937.50 | Tuesday to Sunday, 7–8 AM and 6–7 PM |
These are batches, not one-to-one sessions, so the fair comparison is with group training. Even so, ₹7,350 for coached outdoor work six days a week is a fraction of a chain package, and handy for anyone living around Hauz Khas, Green Park or Panchsheel. DDA's Saket complex is different: its fitness centre sells gym access (₹2,082 a month for members) with no coaching fee published, so any one-to-one coach you train with there is your own arrangement.
Gold's Gym and Cult.fit trainers in Delhi
The two chains Delhi searches ask about keep their trainer prices off the web. Gold's Delhi branch pages invite you to book a free trial and mention personal training programmes, but name no fee. magicpin's May 2026 guide to trainer costs fills the gap with estimates: ₹1,500–2,500 a session for Gold's in Delhi, ₹18,000–30,000 a month across Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, and a starting point of ₹25,000 or more for a three-month package at a premium South Delhi gym.
Cult's Delhi gym page names centres in Pitampura, Preet Vihar, Saket, Model Town, Janakpuri, Dwarka Sector 12 and Lajpat Nagar, and says its coaches offer personal training on demand "for a little extra fee". It doesn't say how little. magicpin's estimate for Cult packages in Delhi and Mumbai is ₹15,000–25,000 a month.
Hiring a trainer to come home in Delhi
On UrbanPro's numbers a Delhi trainer charges the same ₹500–800 to come to your home as to meet you at a gym. The hourly figure doesn't capture the city's size. Dwarka to Vasant Kunj, or Mayur Vihar to Rajouri Garden, can swallow an hour between appointments, so trainers who visit homes tend to work one cluster of colonies and charge extra, or decline, outside it. Ask whether travel is included before you compare two quotes.
- Builder floors and DDA flats. Few Delhi homes have a gym downstairs. Expect the trainer to bring bands or a kettlebell, or to suggest you buy a pair of dumbbells and a mat after a few weeks.
- A park instead of the drawing room. Some trainers meet clients in a park. Lodhi Garden opens at 5 AM from April to September and at 6 AM from October to March, closing at 8 PM, according to NDMC.
- Poor-air mornings. From around November into January, park sessions often move indoors at short notice. Agree in advance what happens to a booked session when the AQI spikes.
A coach on a video call removes the commute entirely: personal home training in Delhi runs on your phone or laptop in whatever room you have, and a session doesn't depend on anyone crossing the Ring Road at 7 AM.
Where an online coach fits in Delhi, and where it doesn't
Be clear about what video can't do. Our coaches can't catch a bar that stalls on your chest or press on your back to fix a hinge, so someone who has never trained with weights may want a handful of in-person sessions before going online. What a live video coach can do in Delhi is keep the plan going through the two seasons that usually break it: May's heat and the smog weeks when the park is off-limits. The session simply happens indoors, built around a DDA park multigym in Janakpuri, a colony gym in Lajpat Nagar or a pair of dumbbells in a Mayur Vihar bedroom.
Our one-to-one sessions run 45 minutes, any day between 6 AM and 8 PM, and a 4-week plan means three a week. Besides the gym and home programs in the table above, Rehab & Recovery in Delhi costs ₹1,299 a session or ₹12,121 for 12 (about ₹1,010 each), for people whose doctor or physio has already cleared them to exercise, and group classes in Delhi cost ₹499 per person, or ₹4,040 for 12 (about ₹337 each). Per minute, our ₹589 plan session (about ₹13 a minute) is dearer than a 60-minute independent at ₹600 (₹10 a minute) and cheaper than one at ₹1,000 (about ₹17). The pricing page has the details.
Why two Delhi trainers quote different fees
- Employer. Inside a chain branch in Lajpat Nagar or Sainik Farms, the trainer is sold at the chain's package price; working for themselves, the same person might ask half.
- The cross-city trip. East to South Delhi for a single client is a costly journey, and it shows up in the quote.
- Slot demand. Pre-office mornings and 6–9 PM fill first, so those are the slots with the least discount.
- Seasonality. A trainer who works mainly in parks loses sessions to smog and heat; one with indoor space doesn't, and may price accordingly.
- Extras. Meal plans and midweek check-ins on WhatsApp can double a quote without adding a minute of training.
Five questions to ask a Delhi trainer first
- 1
Which certificate, and can I look it up?
SPEFL-SC, the sports and fitness skills council set up under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, keeps a Find a Trainer directory for NSQF-certified trainers. Our guide on how to choose a personal trainer explains the other certificates you'll come across.
- 2
Can I try a session?
Gold's Delhi pages let you book a free trial. Notice whether the trainer asks about past injuries and your goal before loading a bar.
- 3
What exactly is in the package?
How many sessions, how long each one runs, what happens if you cancel, and whether food advice or the gym fee is included.
- 4
What's the plan on a bad-air day?
If sessions are outdoors, you want an indoor fallback agreed before November, not on the morning itself.
- 5
How will we measure progress?
Loads, reps and how you feel, logged weekly, with the programme changing when the numbers do.
Other cities' rates are compared in our national guide to personal trainer fees in India. The food side of the plan is in our guide to healthy food in Delhi, and the city overview of online personal training in Delhi shows how a live session runs.
