What a personal trainer in Mysore charges by the hour
Mysuru's trainers mostly advertise on UrbanPro, which files them under two pages for the city, Personal Trainer and Gym. The two overlap but aren't identical, and their averages differ by ₹100 an hour. Here is what each said in October 2026.
| Listing | Profiles | Average | Lowest and highest priced | Last updated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Personal Trainer, Mysore | 87 | ₹750 an hour | ₹100 to ₹1,000 | 20 Oct 2026 |
| Gym, Mysore | 18 | ₹650 an hour | ₹100 to ₹1,000 | 24 Oct 2026 |
The Gym page also states its range: ₹500–800 an hour for one-to-one sessions and ₹400–640 for group sessions. The Personal Trainer page gives only its average and says the price depends on experience, qualifications and the kind of training. Reading the profiles themselves gives a clearer picture. On the first page of the Personal Trainer listing, 20 of 25 trainers showed a rate. Their median was ₹550 an hour, half charged ₹500 or less, and three charged ₹800 or more. On the smaller Gym page, 10 of the 18 profiles showed a rate, with a median of ₹500 and a spread from ₹100 in Bogadi to ₹1,000 in Vidyaranyapuram. Both pages, then, point to about ₹500 as the going rate for an ordinary hour with a Mysore trainer, with UrbanPro's averages pulled up by a few dearer coaches.
Mysore trainer rates by neighbourhood
Mysuru's priced trainers are spread widely, from Vijayanagar and Hebbal to Bogadi and the university. The table groups most of the priced profiles we read on both UrbanPro pages by the locality the trainer gives.
| Area | Rates listed | How many priced |
|---|---|---|
| Vijayanagar (incl. 4th Stage, Mahadeshwara Badavane) | ₹300, ₹500 | 2 |
| Hebbal (incl. 2nd Stage, Lakshmikanth Nagar) | ₹350, ₹500, ₹500, ₹650 | 4 |
| Bogadi (Bogadi, Bogadi Road, Bogadi 2nd Stage) | ₹100, ₹500, ₹700 | 3 |
| Gokulam and Gokula Extension | ₹500, ₹600 | 2 |
| University of Mysore campus | ₹650, ₹1,000 | 2 |
| Bannimantap | ₹500, ₹800 | 2 |
| Kuppaluru | ₹600 | 1 |
| Saraswathipuram, Lalithadripura, Agrahara, N.R. Mohalla | ₹700 each | 4 |
| Vidyaranyapuram | ₹1,000 | 1 |
| Niveditha Nagar, K R Nagar | ₹800 each | 2 |
| Metagalli, Rajiv Nagar | ₹100–300 | 2 |
Two things stand out. First, a ₹100-an-hour profile and a ₹700-an-hour profile both sit in Bogadi, so the area tells you little about price. Second, the two trainers near the University of Mysore campus ask ₹650 and ₹1,000, the top end of the city. Before you compare a ₹100 profile with a ₹700 one, read both and ask each trainer about qualifications and experience; the cheapest hour isn't always the same service.
From an hourly rate to a monthly bill in Mysuru
Mysore trainers quote by the hour but most clients pay by the month. This table multiplies three reference rates from the listings, the low end, the median of priced profiles and UrbanPro's city average, by the number of sessions in a typical month.
| Sessions in the month | At ₹300 an hour | At ₹550 an hour (median) | At ₹750 an hour (UrbanPro average) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 (twice a week) | ₹2,400 | ₹4,400 | ₹6,000 |
| 12 (three times a week) | ₹3,600 | ₹6,600 | ₹9,000 |
| 16 (four times a week) | ₹4,800 | ₹8,800 | ₹12,000 |
Then add the gym itself. Numbeo's Mysore survey averages ₹1,475 for a month's membership, and the city's chain gyms come to ₹1,066–2,225 a month on yearly plans; the full list is in our guide to gym fees in Mysore. A ₹550 trainer three times a week plus that average gym is about ₹8,075 a month.
Mysuru against Bengaluru: the same hourly band
Plenty of people in Mysuru compare prices with Bengaluru, the nearest metro. On trainer rates, the two cities are closer than you might expect. UrbanPro's national fees page estimates gym training in Bangalore at ₹500–800 an hour, exactly the one-to-one range its Mysore Gym page gives. Mysore's averages (₹650 on the Gym page, ₹750 on the Personal Trainer page) sit inside that band too.
Where Mysuru differs is choice. Its Personal Trainer page lists 87 profiles and its Gym page 18, so there are fewer trainers to compare in any one neighbourhood. If the two or three trainers near you don't suit, the next option may be across town, which is where travel time and home-visit minimums start to matter.
| Option | Gym part | Coaching part | Month in total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cult PRO yearly plus a ₹550 local trainer, 12 sessions | ₹1,066 | ₹6,600 | ₹7,666 |
| Gold's Vijayanagar annual plus a ₹750 trainer, 12 sessions | ₹1,667 | ₹9,000 | ₹10,667 |
| Local gym at Numbeo's average plus our gym plan | ₹1,475 | ₹7,070 | ₹8,545 |
| No gym, our home plan | ₹0 | ₹8,080 | ₹8,080 |
| No gym, our group classes | ₹0 | ₹4,040 | ₹4,040 |
Personal training at Gold's Gym and Cult in Mysore
Mysuru's two Gold's Gym branches, in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage and on Udayaravi Road in Kuvempunagar, both mention professional trainers on their pages but publish no personal training fee. Their annual memberships cost ₹20,000 and ₹26,694. For a rough idea of chain rates elsewhere, magicpin's May 2026 guide puts Gold's personal training at ₹18,000–30,000 a month across Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. That is a secondary estimate for the metros, not a Mysore price, so ask the desk for the local figure. Both Gold's pages list hours of 6 AM to 10 PM, Monday to Saturday, and no Sunday hours, so a Gold's trainer in Mysuru works within that week; if Sunday is your free morning, ask before you sign up for sessions there.
Cult's membership cards say cultpass ELITE comes with a kickstart pack of two one-to-one trainer sessions. Cult's Mysuru pages, for Cult Vijayanagar on Temple Road and Cult Neo Gym in Kuvempunagar, publish pass prices but no rate for ongoing personal training. In practice, a chain trainer in Mysuru is a separate deal agreed at the gym.
Lady gym trainers and home visits in Mysore
Many people in Mysuru search specifically for a lady gym trainer. UrbanPro doesn't let you filter by gender, but several Mysore profiles appear under women's names, including trainers in Bannimantap at ₹800 an hour, Saraswathipuram at ₹700 and Agrahara at ₹700. Confirm when you call, and ask whether the trainer works at a gym, at home or both. MakeMyFitness's lead coach is male; we don't offer women-only sessions.
Home-visit trainers in Mysuru generally quote the same hourly rate as gym sessions on UrbanPro, but the real cost depends on distance. A trainer based in Bogadi may charge more, or ask for a minimum number of sessions, to come to Siddhartha Layout or Bannimantap. Ask which areas the trainer covers and whether the rate includes travel.
Hiring a coach online from Mysuru
MakeMyFitness doesn't charge Mysuru more or less than anywhere else. A one-to-one session lasts 45 minutes on Google Meet, booked in any slot from 6 AM to 8 PM, and the coach corrects your form as you move.
| Program | One session | 4-week plan (12 sessions) | Per session on the plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal Gym Training1:1, 45 minutes | ₹799 | ₹7,070 | about ₹589 |
| Personal Home Training1:1, 45 minutes | ₹899 | ₹8,080 | about ₹673 |
| Rehab & Recovery1:1, once a doctor or physio has cleared you | ₹1,299 | ₹12,121 | about ₹1,010 |
| Group ClassesPer person, small group | ₹499 | ₹4,040 | about ₹337 |
Scaled up to sixty minutes so it lines up with Mysore's UrbanPro rates, a session on our gym plan costs roughly ₹785, a shade over the city's ₹750 average and well over its ₹550 median; on the home plan it's roughly ₹898. So a ₹500 Mysuru trainer is the cheaper hour. What the extra pays for is a written plan that gets harder week by week and a coach who sees every rep, wherever you train. If a spotter counting reps is all you need, hire locally.
On a tighter budget, twelve small-group sessions are ₹4,040, roughly ₹337 apiece and under the ₹400–640 group rate UrbanPro gives for Mysore. Details are on group classes in Mysuru; for one-to-one work in your living room, see personal home training in Mysuru.
Finding the best personal trainer in Mysore: questions to settle
- 1
Ask for a monthly quote
Ask for the price of a month at your frequency, in writing, and whether it covers an hour or a shorter session.
- 2
Check the certificate
Ask where the trainer qualified and in what. A personal training qualification matters more than years spent in a gym.
- 3
Ask what happens in week four
A good coach can explain how sessions will get harder and how progress will be checked, not just what you'll do on day one.
- 4
Plan for Dasara
The festival weeks fill Mysuru with visitors and break routines. Agree in advance how rescheduling works so you don't lose paid sessions.
- 5
Book one trial session
Pay for a single session before committing to a month, and see whether the trainer corrects your form or just counts.
Tell any trainer your target. A Chamundi Hills climb or a weekend on one of the treks near Mysore calls for legs and lungs; cycling in Mysore calls for hips, back and core. India-wide rates are compared in what personal trainers charge across India. The city hub, online personal training in Mysuru, links every program, including gym sessions with a coach in Mysuru, and all plans are on the pricing page.
