Amritsar personal trainer rates, as listed in October 2026
Amritsar has fewer trainers advertising online than Punjab’s bigger cities, so every published rate counts. UrbanPro’s Amritsar gym-trainer page, updated on 26 October 2026, carried 12 listings. Six of them showed an hourly fee. One of those reads ₹35,000 an hour, which is almost certainly a monthly or package price typed into the wrong box, so we set it aside. The other five are below, with what three sessions a week would cost.
| Area named in the listing | Per session | Three a week, per month (12 sessions) |
|---|---|---|
| Ranjit Avenue | ₹300 | ₹3,600 |
| Khai Mohalla | ₹500 | ₹6,000 |
| Near the bus stand | ₹500 | ₹6,000 |
| Near the bus stand | ₹750 | ₹9,000 |
| Gulmohar Avenue | ₹750 | ₹9,000 |
| Akash Avenue | ₹35,000 as listed | Set aside as an entry error |
Five rates are not a survey, but they agree with each other: ₹300 at the bottom, ₹750 at the top, ₹500 in the middle. UrbanPro’s own FAQ on the page gives ₹500–800 an hour for one-to-one training and an average of ₹650. That estimate is word for word the same on its Ludhiana and Jalandhar pages, so it reads more like a site-wide figure than an Amritsar one. The rates trainers set themselves are the better guide.
One Amritsar profile without a fee says the trainer coaches both online and at clients’ homes. Two other listings are gyms rather than individuals, so if you contact them, ask whether the price you’re quoted is for a trainer, a membership, or both.
What gym trainers in Amritsar earn
Google suggests “gym trainer jobs in Amritsar” to people typing “personal trainer in Amritsar”, and the pay explains a lot about the fees. Indeed’s salary page puts the average personal trainer in Amritsar at ₹21,403 a month, from four reported salaries, last updated on 5 August 2023, and says that is 8% below its national average. Four salaries is a thin sample, so treat it as a rough marker.
At ₹500 a session, a trainer would need about 43 paid sessions a month to earn that ₹21,403 from private clients alone. That is why most Amritsar trainers combine a salaried gym job with a few personal clients, and why their best hours, early morning and evening, go first. If a trainer offers you a midday slot at a lower rate, it may be a good deal for both of you.
A trainer plus a membership: the two bills in Amritsar
Unless your trainer comes home, you pay twice: once for the gym, once for the coaching. In Amritsar the gym half varies enormously, from about ₹1,000 a month at a neighbourhood gym to more than ₹5,000 at a premium club. The table adds the two together for a month of three sessions a week.
| Where you train | Gym, per month | Trainer, 12 sessions | Together |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neighbourhood gym with a ₹500 trainer | ₹1,000–2,500 (FITPASS estimate) | ₹6,000 | ₹7,000–8,500 |
| Numbeo-average gym with a ₹750 trainer | ₹2,833 | ₹9,000 | about ₹11,830 |
| Premium club with its own trainer | ₹5,000+ (FITPASS estimate) | Ask the club | ₹5,000+ plus training |
| Your home with a ₹750 trainer who visits | None | ₹9,000 | ₹9,000 |
| Your gym with a MakeMyFitness coach on video | Whatever you pay now | ₹7,070 | ₹7,070 plus your gym |
| Your home with a MakeMyFitness coach on video | None | ₹8,080 | ₹8,080 |
Gold’s Gym Amritsar’s branch page shows no usable membership price (its annual figure matches a placeholder that appears on several other Gold’s branch pages) and links to a personal training program with no price, so the only way to know either is to phone or ask at Adventure Mall. Ask too whether an outside trainer may coach you on the floor; some gyms allow only their own staff, which takes the cheaper freelance option off the table.
What cult.fit publishes about trainer-led gyms
cult.fit names Amritsar among the cities where it runs gyms, and its page on gyms with personal trainers gives package ranges: ₹10,000–15,000 for three months, ₹15,000–20,000 for six and ₹20,000–25,000 for twelve. Those figures are for its network as a whole, not an Amritsar rate card, and the page doesn’t say how many trainer sessions a package includes. Before you compare it with a local trainer, ask how many one-to-one sessions you actually get each month.
For context from bigger cities, magicpin’s May 2026 guide puts personal training at Anytime Fitness at ₹12,000–20,000 a month and at Gold’s Gym at ₹18,000–30,000 in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Amritsar’s independent trainers, at ₹3,600–9,000 a month, sit well below those metro chain prices.
Home trainers in Amritsar’s avenues and the walled city
Home training in Amritsar works differently depending on where you live. The planned colonies such as Ranjit Avenue, Green Avenue and Gulmohar Avenue have many houses with a lawn, roof or spare room, which is all a home trainer needs. Inside the walled city, around Hall Bazaar and the lanes near the Golden Temple, space is usually tighter and a trainer has further to come on foot from the nearest parking, so ask whether they will actually reach you at 6 AM.
If you hire someone to come home, agree the fee per session and per month, what equipment they bring, and what happens on days the trainer can’t make it. Ask for a single paid session first. And make sure there is a clear space where you can lie down with your arms overhead, because most floor exercises need it.
Online coaching removes the travel altogether. Personal Home Training in Amritsar runs on a phone or laptop, and a coach can teach a full session in a room most trainers would find too small to work in. If you are coming back from an injury and your doctor or physio has cleared you for exercise, Rehab & Recovery in Amritsar is coaching built around that clearance; it is not physiotherapy.
One-to-one or a small group: cutting the trainer bill in Amritsar
If ₹6,000–9,000 a month for a private trainer is more than you want to spend in Amritsar, sharing is the usual answer. UrbanPro’s FAQ prices group classes at ₹400–640 an hour per person, against ₹500–800 for one-to-one, though, as with its other estimates, those numbers are the same on its other Punjab city pages. The other option is less formal: two friends, a couple or a parent and grown child book one home trainer together and split the fee.
That works when both people have similar goals and fitness. It breaks down when one of you is recovering from a knee problem and the other wants to lift heavy, because a trainer can only watch one set of knees at a time. Agree in advance how the fee is split if one person drops out, and whether the trainer will still come for one.
Our Group Classes in Amritsar take the same idea online: a small live class with a coach watching, at ₹499 a session or ₹4,040 for 12, which is less than most of the one-to-one rates above.
Live online coaching from Amritsar, at ₹589 a session
MakeMyFitness is live online personal training. Each session is a 45-minute Google Meet call with a certified coach who watches every rep and corrects you in real time. Our lead coach, Kumar Abhishek, holds a Diploma in Personal Training and is a Human Performance Nutritionist, both from K11 School of Fitness Sciences. We have no studio in Amritsar and make no home visits; you train where you already are. Our prices are the same in every city:
| Program | One session | 4-week plan (12 sessions) | Per session on the plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal Gym Training1:1, 45 minutes | ₹799 | ₹7,070 | about ₹589 |
| Personal Home Training1:1, 45 minutes | ₹899 | ₹8,080 | about ₹673 |
| Rehab & Recovery1:1, once a doctor or physio has cleared you | ₹1,299 | ₹12,121 | about ₹1,010 |
| Group ClassesPer person, small group | ₹499 | ₹4,040 | about ₹337 |
On the 4-week plan, Personal Gym Training in Amritsar works out to about ₹589 a session, close to the ₹500 middle rate of the local trainers above, and you keep training in your own gym. Sessions run from 6 AM to 8 PM every day. The honest limit is that a video coach can’t physically spot you, so heavy lifts are programmed to loads you can control. See our pricing page for every plan.
Hiring a trainer in Amritsar without regret
- Ask where they trained. A recognised course matters more than a physique. Our national guide to personal trainer fees in India covers qualifications and what a fair fee looks like.
- Expect questions first. A good trainer asks about injuries, medicines and your working hours before giving you any weights.
- Pay per session for the first week. Commit to a month only once you know the trainer turns up on time and explains what you’re doing.
- Get the monthly price in writing. Include the number of sessions, their length, and the rule for missed days.
- Keep food advice local. A diet that bans every meal at home won’t last. Our guide to healthy food in Amritsar works with the city’s dishes.
- Train for something. A goal such as a Himalayan trek gives the sessions a purpose; see treks near Amritsar for routes and a fitness plan.
For the gym half of the bill, our guide to gym fees in Amritsar lists every price we could verify, and everything else about training with us in the city is on our Amritsar page.
