What personal trainers charge in Surat, by type of trainer
Surat has three kinds of personal trainer, and they price differently. Independent trainers list an hourly rate on marketplaces such as UrbanPro and train you at your gym, a park or your flat. Gym-floor trainers sell monthly packages on top of the membership. And online coaches train you on a video call wherever you are. Here is what each costs in Surat, from figures published by the trainers or gyms themselves and checked in late October 2026.
| Type of trainer | Published price | Where it's from |
|---|---|---|
| Independent trainer, Surat average | ₹750 an hour | UrbanPro, 115+ Surat personal trainer listings, updated 25 October 2026 |
| Trainers listed under Surat gyms | ₹650 an hour average; ₹400–700 shown | UrbanPro Surat gym page, updated 26 October 2026 |
| UrbanPro's own fee band for 1:1, home or online | ₹500–1,000 an hour; ₹6,000–12,000 for 12 sessions | UrbanPro Surat personal trainer FAQ |
| Gym PT package, solo | ₹7,000 a month | S R Gym, Adajan and Katargam |
| Gym PT package, three months | ₹18,000 (₹6,000 a month) | S R Gym |
| Gym PT package, two people | ₹12,000 a month for both | S R Gym |
| MakeMyFitness, live online | ₹799 a session; ₹7,070 for 12 | Our price list |
No national chain we checked publishes a personal training price for its Surat clubs, so the table leans on what individual trainers and one local gym put in writing. That's narrower than we'd like, but every number has a date and a source.
Hourly rates in Vesu, Adajan and the old city
UrbanPro's Surat personal trainer page showed 25 profiles when we checked, 21 of them with an hourly rate. They ranged from ₹250 to ₹800, the middle rate was ₹500, and 11 of the 21 charged ₹500 or less. The site's own headline average of ₹750 is higher than that middle figure, so expect some trainers well above ₹500 as well. Grouped by the locality each trainer lists:
| Locality | Profiles with a rate | Hourly rates shown |
|---|---|---|
| Vesu | 6 | ₹500, ₹500, ₹600, ₹700, ₹800, ₹800 |
| Adajan (including Adajan Gam) | 5 | ₹250, ₹300, ₹500, ₹500, ₹800 |
| Old city: Nanpura, Gopipura, Sagrampura, Kolsawad | 4 | ₹500, ₹500, ₹600, ₹650 |
| Rander Road, Varachha, Althan, Palanpur and others | 6 | ₹400, ₹400, ₹500, ₹600, ₹600, ₹700 |
Vesu, in the city's south-west, has the highest floor: no priced profile there was below ₹500. Adajan, across the Tapi, has both the cheapest rates in the sample and one of the dearest, which says more about individual trainers' experience than about the neighbourhood. The old walled-city areas cluster tightly around ₹500–650. These are snapshots of a page that changes daily, not a survey, and UrbanPro lets trainers set their own rates, so read them as asking prices.
On UrbanPro's separate Surat gym page, the four trainers with a rate were in Vesu (₹700), Adajan (₹700), Sachin (₹500) and Sumul Dairy Road (₹400), and the page lists a free demo class. A free first session is worth taking: it's the cheapest way to see whether a trainer actually watches your form or just counts reps.
Gym personal trainer fees in Surat: one gym's monthly packages
Gym-floor training in Surat is usually sold by the month, not the hour. S R Gym, which runs branches in Adajan and Katargam, is the one Surat gym we found that publishes its personal training prices, on a page last reviewed in September 2026:
- Solo personal training: ₹7,000 a month. The same page also says one month of personal training starts from ₹10,000, so ask which applies to you.
- Three-month block: ₹18,000, which works out to ₹6,000 a month.
- Pair training: ₹12,000 a month for two people, ₹6,000 each.
The page doesn't say how many sessions a month these packages include, or how long each one lasts, and that's the number that decides whether ₹7,000 is good value. At 12 sessions it's about ₹583 a session; at 20 it's ₹350; at 8 it's ₹875. You also pay the membership on top. S R Gym's annual membership is ₹9,000 at Adajan (₹750 a month), so a month of solo training there costs about ₹7,750 in total. Our guide to gym fees in Surat has the full membership picture, including the Surat Municipal Corporation's sports complexes.
Turning Surat's hourly rates into a month of training
Three sessions a week is the usual rhythm for someone working with a trainer, so 12 sessions makes a fair month for comparison. Here is what the Surat rates above add up to:
| Rate | Who charges it | 12 sessions |
|---|---|---|
| ₹400 an hour | Lower end of Surat gym-listed trainers | ₹4,800 |
| ₹500 an hour | Middle of the 21 priced profiles | ₹6,000 |
| ₹750 an hour | UrbanPro's Surat average | ₹9,000 |
| ₹800 an hour | Top of the Vesu and Adajan profiles | ₹9,600 |
| ₹799 a 45-minute session | MakeMyFitness, single session | ₹9,588 |
| ₹7,070 for 12 × 45 minutes | MakeMyFitness, 4-week plan | ₹7,070 |
Be fair about session length when you compare. Our one-to-one sessions are 45 minutes; most hourly rates on UrbanPro are for an hour. Per minute, our 4-week plan works out to about ₹13, a ₹500-an-hour trainer to about ₹8, and a ₹750 trainer to about ₹12.50. What you're comparing, then, is less the price than the format: in person and roughly 60 minutes, or live on video and 45.
Home-visit personal trainers in Surat
UrbanPro's Surat page prices a personal trainer at home at the same band as other one-to-one training, ₹500–1,000 an hour or ₹6,000–12,000 for 12 sessions. In practice a home trainer's rate includes travel time, and Surat sits on both banks of the Tapi, so crossing the river at rush hour eats into a trainer's day. A trainer based in Vesu may be reluctant to cross to Katargam or Amroli for one hour, or will charge more for it. Ask whether the rate changes with distance, and what happens when you cancel late.
If what you want is training at home without anyone travelling, an online coach is the obvious alternative: personal home training in Surat is ₹899 a session or ₹8,080 for 12, coached live on video in your own room or terrace.
Training as a pair or a small group in Surat
Sharing a trainer is the simplest way to cut the cost in Surat. S R Gym's pair package is ₹12,000 a month for two people, so each person pays ₹6,000 instead of ₹7,000 solo, a saving of about 14%. UrbanPro's Surat fee guide puts group classes at ₹400–800 an hour, or ₹4,800–9,600 for 12 sessions, against ₹500–1,000 an hour for one-to-one. In both cases the discount is modest, because the trainer's time is still split between people.
The trade-off is attention. In a pair, a trainer can still check both people's squats; in a group of eight, much less so. If you train with a spouse, sibling or friend at the same level and on the same timetable, a shared package is good value. If your goals or schedules differ, you'll each end up compromising. Our group classes in Surat are live online small-group sessions at ₹499 each, or ₹4,040 for 12, about ₹337 a class, which sits below the bottom of UrbanPro's Surat group band.
How to judge the best personal trainer in Surat for you
Searches for the best personal trainer in Surat are really asking who will get results without injury. No rate tells you that, but a few questions in the first conversation do:
- What's your certification, and from whom? Ask to see it. A recognised course in personal training is the baseline.
- What would my first four weeks look like? A good trainer answers with a plan built around your goal, schedule and history, not a generic split.
- How do you track progress? Weights lifted, measurements, photos: anything written down beats memory.
- What exactly does the monthly fee cover? Sessions per month, minutes per session, and whether a diet plan is included.
- Can I try one session first? UrbanPro lists free demo classes for Surat gym trainers; a paid trial is fine too.
Our national guide to personal trainer fees in India covers what's normal in the bigger cities and what pushes a rate up.
Live online coaching from Surat: the prices
MakeMyFitness doesn't have a gym, studio or trainers in Surat. Every session is a live video call: your coach, Kumar Abhishek, holds a Diploma in Personal Training from K11 School of Fitness Sciences, watches you through your phone camera and corrects your form as you move. Slots run 6 AM to 8 PM every day, so early-morning sessions before the shop or office opens are easy to book.
It fits three kinds of Surat trainee. If you already pay for a gym, municipal or private, personal gym training in Surat puts a coach in your pocket on the gym floor. If you'd rather train at home, the home program uses what you have. And if you want company and a lower price, the small-group classes described above work out to about ₹337 a class on a 4-week plan.

|---|---|---|---|
| Personal Gym Training1:1, 45 minutes | ₹799 | ₹7,070 | about ₹589 |
