Personal trainer fees in Pune have no official rate card, so every figure below comes from a marketplace where trainers set their own prices, a deals platform's estimates, or a gym's own website. We checked all of them on 27 October 2026. Use them to judge a quote you've been given, not as the price you'll be charged.

What a personal trainer costs in Pune, by type (checked October 2026)

UrbanPro's national fee table puts Pune in the same ₹500–800 band as Bengaluru and Hyderabad, below the ₹600–1,000 it gives for Mumbai and New Delhi. So a Pune trainer charging ₹1,500 an hour is pricing well above the city's middle, which can be fair for a trainer with a long record, but is worth asking about.

What Pune trainers list on UrbanPro, from Kothrud to Kharadi

UrbanPro's Pune gym page had 812 listings when we checked (last updated 24 October 2026). The summary says ₹650 an hour, but the rates individual trainers actually set on the first page were far more spread out. This is what they listed, grouped by the area each trainer names:

AreaListed rate per hourExperience listed
Warje₹30011 years
Kothrud (three trainers)₹400, ₹500 and ₹1,2502, 1 and 8 years
Yerawada₹50012 years
Viman Nagar₹6004 years
Wanowrie (two trainers)₹700 each15 and 2 years
Kharadi₹7504 years
Baner₹8005 years
Kondhwa (three trainers)₹1,000, ₹1,500 and ₹2,0003, 10 and 10 years
Airport Road₹1,50010 years
Hourly rates set by individual trainers on UrbanPro's Pune page (checked 27 October 2026)

Three things stand out. First, experience doesn't map neatly onto price: a Warje trainer with 11 years listed ₹300, while a Kothrud trainer with 8 years listed ₹1,250. Second, Kondhwa alone spans ₹1,000 to ₹2,000, so the area tells you little. Third, there was no Hinjewadi or Wakad trainer with a rate on that first page. If you live in the western IT belt, you'll probably be quoted by someone who travels from Baner, Aundh or further, and that travel is part of the price.

Most Pune listings say the trainer comes to the client's home, and many offer online sessions as well. Only one, in Wadgaon Sheri, is described as a gym institute. That matches how personal training works in much of Pune: a lot of it happens in living rooms and society clubhouses, not in branded studios.

Home personal trainer in Pune: what the commute adds

A home personal trainer in Pune costs about the same per hour as one at your gym, according to UrbanPro: ₹500–800, or ₹6,000–9,600 for 12 visits. What the hourly figure hides is where the trainer has to be before and after you. A trainer with clients in Kothrud at 7 AM and Kharadi at 8 AM is crossing the city at peak time, and someone heading to Hinjewadi in the evening is sitting in the same queue at the Wakad bridge as everyone else. Home-visit trainers handle that in three ways, and you should ask which applies before you agree:

  • A travel charge added to each visit, or a higher hourly rate for areas outside their usual circuit.
  • Fixed slots only. You get the time that fits their route, not the time that fits your stand-up.
  • Strict cancellation rules. A late cancellation still costs them the trip, so many charge for it in full.

Gated societies in Wakad, Pimple Saudagar, Baner and Hadapsar add a step: the trainer has to be logged at the gate every visit, and some societies don't let outside trainers into the clubhouse gym at all. Check with your society office first, or you may end up paying for sessions on the living-room floor that you meant to have under a squat rack.

If what you want is a coach at home without anyone travelling, Personal Home Training in Pune is coached live on video. It costs ₹899 a session or ₹8,080 for 12, and the coach plans around a PG room or a 1BHK as easily as a bungalow.

Gym personal trainer fees in Pune: chains and floor trainers

Pune's chain gyms sell personal training as an add-on to membership, and none we checked publish the price. Gold's Gym's Bibwewadi page lists its annual membership and links to a personal training program, but gives no figure for it. magicpin's 2026 guide to Gold's Gym puts its personal training add-on at about ₹500–1,500 a session across India, and its guide to personal trainer costs estimates ₹18,000–30,000 a month for Gold's personal training in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Neither gives a Pune figure, so treat them as the top of the range you might be quoted, not a Pune price.

Two things are worth knowing before you talk to a front desk in Aundh or Kalyani Nagar:

  • Floor help isn't personal training. The staff who show you around the machines are usually included in membership. Personal training means a trainer who plans your sessions and stays with you for each one, and that's what costs extra.
  • Add both bills together. A chain package is paid on top of the membership. Our guide to gym fees in Pune covers what memberships cost, from Gold's Gym to FITPASS and civic gyms.

magicpin's estimate of ₹500–1,500 a session also brackets UrbanPro's independent rates, which suggests the gap between a chain trainer and a good independent one in Pune may be smaller than the chain's glossy packaging implies. Ask for the per-session price, not just the package price, and divide.

Online personal trainer for Pune: where it fits and where it doesn't

Live online coaching has real limits, and they matter more for some Pune trainees than others. A coach on a video call can't spot a heavy bench press, physically guide your hips into a deep squat or catch a dumbbell you're about to drop. If you've never lifted, a few in-person sessions to learn the basics are money well spent. What an online coach does well is watch every rep through your phone, cue you as you move, plan around exactly the equipment in your Magarpatta office gym or Wakad clubhouse, and fit a slot between your last call and dinner without anyone sitting in traffic.

One-to-one sessions last 45 minutes, slots run from 6 AM to 8 PM every day, and a 4-week plan is three sessions a week. Per session, our ₹589 plan price is a little under UrbanPro's Pune average of ₹650. Per minute it isn't: about ₹13 a minute for 45 minutes against about ₹11 for a 60-minute independent hour. The honest case for online in Pune is the commute and the schedule, not a lower hourly rate. Full details are on our pricing page.

Students, freshers and PG rooms: keeping trainer costs down in Pune

Pune has a large population of students and people in their first job, and a ₹7,000–9,000 monthly trainer bill is a big share of a stipend or a fresher's salary. These are the cheaper routes that still get you a coach:

  • Train in a small group. UrbanPro's Pune figures put group sessions at ₹400–640 an hour per person. Our live group classes in Pune cost ₹499 a class, or ₹4,040 for 12.
  • Book one session to fix your form, then train alone on the plan. A single coached session costs ₹799 with us; ask an independent trainer whether they'll do a one-off assessment.
  • Coach two days, train one alone. Two coached sessions a week plus one on your own halves the bill without losing direction.
  • Avoid annual trainer packages. Pay month by month until you know the trainer suits you. Semester breaks and internships move people out of Pune at short notice.
  • Do the free maths first. Our calorie deficit calculator gives you a starting target before you pay anyone for a diet plan.

How to check a Pune trainer before you pay

Check what is included, the terms and the full cost before you commit.
Check what is included, the terms and the full cost before you commit.
  1. 1

Ask for a certificate you can verify

India's Sports, Physical Education, Fitness and Leisure Skills Council (SPEFL-SC), set up under the Ministry of Skill Development, runs a trainer listing and a verification portal. A trainer with a recognised certificate shouldn't mind you checking it. Our guide on how to choose a personal trainer explains what to look for.

  2. 2

    Expect questions before exercise

A good trainer asks about your goal, injuries, medical history and how you sleep and work before planning anything. If the first session is a random circuit, that's a warning.

  3. 3

Get the travel and cancellation terms in writing

Especially for home visits across Pune's busier corridors. Who pays when traffic or a monsoon downpour makes a session impossible?

  4. 4

    Ask for a written plan

You should know what the next four weeks look like, and why. If you're training for a Sinhagad or Rajgad weekend, the plan should build towards that date.

  5. 5

Pay for a month, then review

Track your weights, reps and how you feel. If nothing has changed after four to six weeks, talk to the trainer before you renew.
