If you searched for the Noida Marathon 2026, the honest answer is that Noida doesn’t have one flagship race in the way Delhi has its October half. It has a busy calendar of smaller half marathons, 10Ks and themed runs spread across the year, several of them now in their fifth to eleventh editions. The list below comes from the FatMarathoner Delhi NCR race calendar, updated on 24 October 2026. These are aggregator listings, not official announcements, so confirm every date, distance and fee on the organiser’s own page before you register.

Two things stand out. First, Noida’s half marathons cluster in the monsoon (July and August) and spring (February to April), not in the smoggy winter. Second, none of the listed Noida events is a full 42.2 km road marathon; the Wings Marathon’s 30K is the longest. Noida runners who want a full marathon can travel to the New Delhi Marathon in late February, and those chasing a big-field half look at the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon in October.

Noida’s race seasons: monsoon halves, a November 10K, spring halves

Check conditions and plan your timing, water and an indoor alternative.

Because Noida’s races are spread across the year, the right training plan depends on which season you race in. Climate-Data.org’s averages for Noida (1991–2021, as cited on Wikipedia) give a sense of race-day conditions, and CREA’s analysis of CPCB data explains why so few races are held between November and January: Noida averaged 166 µg/m³ of PM2.5 from October 2025 to February 2026, the second-highest of 238 Indian cities, and Greater Noida ranked fourth.

Monsoon halves: training through heat and humidity

A half marathon on 2 August means your long runs fall in June and July, when Noida’s average highs are about 35–39 °C and the humidity climbs. Run long at first light, slow your easy pace by 20–30 seconds a kilometre on humid days, and practise drinking during runs. Expect waterlogged sector roads after heavy rain, and choose park loops over streets on those days.

The November 10K: plan for the air

Late November is one of the worst periods for air in the NCR, and races can be disrupted. In December 2025, with Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan in force, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) directed NCR states to ensure that physical sports competitions scheduled that month were postponed, and told schools and sports bodies to stop outdoor physical sports activities. Stage IV ran from 13 December, when Delhi’s AQI breached 450, to 24 December 2025, when it had improved to 271. If you enter a late-autumn or winter race, read the organiser’s postponement policy, keep your training flexible and check the AQI on race morning.

Spring halves: train through the smog, race in clean air

A mid-February half has the nicest race-day weather in Noida, with average lows around 10 °C. The catch is the build-up: eight to ten weeks of training land squarely in December and January. Plan on doing at least half your weekly sessions indoors in that stretch (see the swaps below), and save outdoor long runs for the clearest mornings.

Where Noida runners do long runs

Noida’s green spaces are short loops, so long runs mean repeating one or linking several. The Noida Stadium jogging track in Sector 21A is a gravel loop of about 1.3 km round the cricket stadium, and the sidewalks around the complex add more. The Okhla Bird Sanctuary trails link to Gautam Buddha Park for runs of about 5 km out and back, so a 15 km long run is three round trips. Many runners also use society perimeter tracks for the first or last few kilometres. Our guide to running tracks in Noida covers each place, the CPCB stations to check, and why GRAP stages follow Delhi’s AQI rather than Noida’s.

Planned sessionIndoor swap
Long runMove to the clearest day of the week; if none, 60–80 minutes easy on a treadmill
Tempo or 10K-pace intervalsTreadmill at 1% incline, same minutes and effort
HillsIncline treadmill repeats or step-ups on a sturdy box
Easy runStationary bike or cross-trainer in the clubhouse gym

Sample week for a Noida half marathon, with two strength sessions

This week suits someone eight to ten weeks from a half marathon who already runs about 20 km a week. The right-hand column is the plan for days when the air is ‘very poor’. Our half marathon training plan for beginners has the full 12-week build, and strength training for runners explains the lifting.

MondayStrength 1: squats, Romanian deadlifts, calf raises, planks (45 minutes)No change: clubhouse gym or home

Going for the Delhi Half from Noida

Many Noida runners make the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium their main race. Entry to its half marathon needs a timing certificate from a certified, chip-timed course: for the 2026 edition, a half in 3:30:00 or faster or a 10 km in 1:35:00 or faster, from a race on or after 1 October 2024. A measured, timed Noida half or 10K in spring or the monsoon can serve as your qualifier, as long as the organiser meets those course and timing standards. See our guide to marathons in Delhi for dates, fees and entry rules.

Other races within reach of Noida

Noida’s own calendar is thin between November and January, but the wider NCR fills some of the gap. The same FatMarathoner calendar lists the Winter Delhi Half Marathon on 1 November 2026, the Yashoda Half Marathon (4th edition) next door in Ghaziabad on 22 November 2026, the Indian Navy Half Marathon in New Delhi on 6 February 2027 and the Cognizant New Delhi Marathon, with a full 42.2 km, on 28 February 2027. A February race in Delhi pairs well with the Noida Grand Marathon two weeks earlier: run Noida as a hard training effort, then race Delhi. As with every listing here, confirm the date and the course details with the organiser first.

Taper and race week in Noida

In the last week, cut your running by about a third, keep a few short, quick efforts, and keep strength sessions light and familiar. In the final two days, eat familiar, easily digested carbohydrates: rice, roti, poha, bananas, curd and toast, and skip heavy, oily dinners. On race morning, eat a small breakfast about two hours before the start and test it before a long run first. Road races usually start early, so set your alarm with travel time across the sectors or from Greater Noida in mind. Our Punjabi diet plan for weight loss and guide to healthy food in Noida cover everyday eating in a training block, and the TDEE calculator estimates how much you burn.
