Personal Gym Training
Coached live at the gym you already pay for, from a Crunch on Fourth Avenue to the gym in your Long Island City tower.
From $25 / session
Your coach on video, before the subway or after the kids are down.
New York runs on small apartments, long subway rides and gyms that charge Manhattan rent. MakeMyFitness puts a certified coach on a live video call with you instead: 45 minutes of one-on-one training in your living room, your building's gym or the gym you already pay for, with your form watched and corrected in real time. Our coaches are based in India, so New York sessions run early in the morning and late at night, from $25 a session.

FitBudd's 2026 city price table (updated May 27, 2026) puts in-person sessions in New York City at $100 to $250 or more; it's a coaching-software company's estimate, and most trainers also need you to hold a gym membership.

Why New York trains online
You already ride the subway to work. A live session needs no trip across town to meet a trainer: your coach is on the call when you open the laptop at 6 AM.
Plenty of New York rentals come with a small gym on the ground floor or the roof. Prop your phone on the rack and your coach plans every set around the dumbbells that are actually there.
Central Park averages 29.8 inches of snow a year, most of it in January and February. When the sidewalks are slush, your session happens in your living room on schedule.
The National Weather Service's Central Park normals put January at 39.5°F (4°C) by day and 27.9°F (−2°C) at night, and July at 84.9°F (29°C) with nights near 70°F. Snow, sticky summer heat and 49.5 inches of rain and melted snow a year all move outdoor plans. A session on video doesn't move.

Questions people in New York ask before their first session.
Published estimates for in-person training in New York City run from about $100 to $250 or more a session (FitBudd, May 2026), on top of a membership: a single Crunch club in Manhattan listed $110.50–114.75 a month in October 2026. MakeMyFitness offers live 45-minute online personal training sessions in New York from $25, with a certified coach correcting your form on video.
Yes, if you have a phone or laptop and roughly a yoga mat's worth of floor. Your coach plans around the space and kit you have, and in a walk-up they swap jumping for quiet moves like tempo squats, split squats and floor presses so the neighbors below hear nothing. Building gyms work just as well.
Sessions run from 7:30 PM to 9:30 AM Eastern time in winter and from 8:30 PM to 10:30 AM in summer, when the clocks go forward. Slots that work all year are 5 to 9:30 AM and 8:30 PM to midnight. Most New Yorkers book 6 or 7 AM before work, or 9 PM after the kids are down.
Our coaches are based in India, which is why New York sessions sit early and late. Lead coach Kumar Abhishek holds a Diploma in Personal Training and a Human Performance Nutritionist qualification from K11 School of Fitness Sciences, plus TRX Suspension Training. He doesn't hold a US certificate such as NASM or ACE.
Book through the form on this page or on WhatsApp. US cards are accepted and plans are charged in dollars: $25 a session or $223 for 12 sessions of Personal Gym Training. You can move any session with 24 hours' notice, which helps when a work trip or a delayed train wrecks your week.
Yes, that's what Personal Gym Training is for. Prop your phone where your coach can see you, at a PureGym, a Crunch or the gym in your building, and they run the session set by set. If you already pay a PureGym $26.99–64.99 a month, a coach at $25 a session costs a fraction of the $100-plus that New York trainers are estimated to charge in person.
