Personal Gym Training
Coached live at the gym you already pay for, from the Crunch in Northwest Hills to the YMCA or your tower gym on Rainey Street.
From $25 / session
Train before the Texas heat wakes up, with a coach on video.
Austin gets 123 days a year at 90°F or hotter, so the city trains early: Barton Springs Pool opens at 5 AM for a reason. MakeMyFitness gives you a certified coach on a live video call for that early slot, at home, in your apartment gym or at the Crunch or YMCA you already use. Our coaches are based in India, which puts Austin sessions at dawn and after dark, from $25 a session.

Why Austin trains online
The National Weather Service says Austin's normal high reaches 90°F by May 26 and stays above it until September 23. A coached session in your living room at 6 AM doesn't care what the thermometer says at noon.
Austin's tech employers, from Dell's 13,000 staff to Apple's largest campus outside Cupertino, fill the city with people who already live on video calls. One more call, at 6 AM or 9 PM, gets you a coach watching every rep.
The Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail around Lady Bird Lake is 10.1 miles and mostly flat. Run it on Saturday; your coach builds the strength work on the other days so your knees and hips keep up with the miles.
The National Weather Service's 1991–2020 normals for Camp Mabry put August at 97.8°F (37°C) by day and 75.1°F (24°C) at night, and January at 62.5°F (17°C) with lows of 41.8°F (5°C). In 2011 Austin hit 100°F on 90 days. Thunderstorms in May and October bring flash floods. Indoors, on video, none of it cancels a session.

Questions people in Austin ask before their first session.
Castle Hill Fitness on North Lamar listed one-on-one sessions at $90–109 an hour for non-members in October 2026, or $71–86 for 45 minutes. Gymkee, a software company, estimates Austin trainers at $60–100 an hour. MakeMyFitness offers live 45-minute online personal training sessions in Austin from $25, with a certified coach correcting your form on video.
Yes, because it moves your workout out of the heat. Austin averages 123 days a year at 90°F or above, and in 2011 it reached 100°F on 90 days. A live session in an air-conditioned room at 6 AM keeps you training through July and August without heat warnings deciding your schedule.
From November to March the window is 6:30 PM to 8:30 AM Central; after daylight saving begins it shifts to 7:30 PM to 9:30 AM. Book 5 to 8:30 AM or 7:30 to 11 PM and your slot never moves. Most Austin clients book 5:30 or 6 AM before work, or 9 PM after the kids are asleep.
A phone or laptop, Wi-Fi and floor space about the size of a yoga mat. Dumbbells or a resistance band help but aren't required for your first session. Your coach plans around what you own, whether that's a full garage gym in Circle C or two dumbbells in a downtown studio apartment.
Your coach works from India; that time difference is the reason Austin slots sit at dawn and after dark. Kumar Abhishek, who leads the team, trained at K11 School of Fitness Sciences (Diploma in Personal Training; Human Performance Nutritionist) and is certified in TRX Suspension Training. He has no NASM or ACE card, and we'd rather you hear that from us.
Use the form here or message us on WhatsApp. You pay in dollars on a US card: Personal Gym Training is $25 a session or $223 for 12, and Personal Home Training is $28 or $255. Move any session with 24 hours' notice, which helps during South by Southwest or ACL weekends.
Yes. Personal Gym Training is built for that. Prop your phone on a bench at Crunch, the YMCA or your apartment gym and your coach runs the session set by set. Crunch's Austin Northwest club listed memberships from $9.99 a month in October 2026, so coaching plus a gym can cost under $235 a month.
