Personal Gym Training
Your coach joins you by video at your existing membership, whether that's the Embarcadero Y on Steuart Street or the gym on your tower's amenity floor.
From $25 / session
Off Caltrain or the N Judah, and coached live by 6 PM.
San Francisco has 1,017 acres of Golden Gate Park, the flat Crissy Field path and a fog bank that rewrites weekend plans. MakeMyFitness brings a certified coach into your evening over video: a private 45-minute session in a Mission flat, a SoMa tower gym or the Y where you already have a card, with each rep watched and fixed as you go. Because our coaches work from India, San Francisco slots fall after the workday. Sessions start at $25.

Personal training in San Francisco
$80–200+
a session
FitBudd's location price table, last updated May 27, 2026, prices San Francisco together with Los Angeles at $80 to $200-plus per session. FitBudd sells software to trainers, so this is an industry estimate, and the trainer's gym usually charges dues on top.

Why San Francisco trains online
If your workday ends on a video call in a SoMa office or at the kitchen table in Noe Valley, the next call can be your coach. No drive across town, no circling a hill in Pacific Heights for parking.
Plenty of newer buildings in Mission Bay, SoMa and Rincon Hill have a small residents' gym. Stand the phone against a bench leg and your coach builds the workout from whatever weights that room holds.
The Golden Gate draws cold Pacific air into the city all summer, and San Francisco has the coolest June to August of any major US city. When Ocean Beach is gray and blowing, your session goes ahead indoors.
National Weather Service normals for downtown (1991–2020) put July highs at 66.3°F (19°C) and September highs at 70.2°F (21°C), so early fall is the warm season. January runs 57.8°F (14°C) by day and 46.6°F (8°C) at night. Most of the 22.89 inches (581 mm) of yearly rain falls from December to February. Fog and rain change outdoor plans; a video session doesn't change.

Questions people in San Francisco ask before their first session.
FitBudd's May 2026 table prices in-person sessions in San Francisco and Los Angeles at $80 to $200-plus, and the trainer's gym bills you separately: the YMCA of San Francisco listed adult dues of $91 a month in October 2026. MakeMyFitness coaches people in San Francisco over live video for $25 per 45-minute session, with the coach fixing your form as you lift.
Our coaches are based in India, so San Francisco sessions run from 4:30 PM to 6:30 AM Pacific time in winter and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 AM in summer. The slots that work all year are 5:30 to 10 PM and 5 to 6:30 AM. A 6 or 7 PM slot fits straight after work.
Yes. A phone or laptop and floor for a mat are enough. Older Victorian and Edwardian buildings carry sound, so if someone lives below you, your coach builds the session from quiet moves: split squats, slow push-ups, floor presses and loaded holds, with no jumping. A residents' gym in your building works just as well.
Rarely too cold: downtown January lows average 46.6°F (8°C). But summer is cooler than people expect, with July highs of 66.3°F (19°C), and fog and wind on the west side change running plans. Many people run Crissy Field or Golden Gate Park on weekends and keep weekday strength work indoors on video.
No, and we say so plainly. Kumar Abhishek, who leads our coaches, trained at K11 School of Fitness Sciences, earning a Diploma in Personal Training and a Human Performance Nutritionist qualification, and is certified in TRX Suspension Training. He isn't NASM, ACE or NSCA certified, and we have no California license or office.
Fill in the booking form here or message us on WhatsApp. You pay in dollars on a US card: Personal Home Training is $28 per session, or $255 for a 12-session plan. A session can be rescheduled with 24 hours' notice, useful when a product launch, a trip to Seattle or a delayed flight into SFO gets in the way.
