A coach on your phone, from Ancoats mills to Didsbury semis
MakeMyFitness trains Mancunians over a live video call. Your certified coach sees every rep, fixes the squat that drifts and paces the rest between sets, whether you are on the living-room floor of a Northern Quarter apartment, in a Castlefield block’s gym or at PureGym on Market Street. Slots open at 6 AM and the last ones finish by 2:30 PM, every month of the year. One-to-one coaching at your gym costs £19; Fresha’s typical Manchester figure is about £65.

Why Manchester trains online
Woodford, the Met Office station on the city’s southern edge, logs about 156 rainy days in an average year, and December brings roughly 97 mm. Save the Platt Fields lap for a bright morning. Strength work on the lounge carpet goes ahead whatever the clouds over the Pennines decide.
PureGym’s Off-Peak tier on Market Street costs £16.99 a month and admits you on weekdays up to 15:30. Every slot we coach falls inside those hours. Stay on the low tier, lean the phone against the rack and let somebody else plan the sets you would otherwise make up as you go.
Metrolink serves 99 stops along 64 miles of route, and for many Mancunians the daily commute already eats an hour. A second trip across Greater Manchester to reach a trainer is often what ends a plan by February. With a video coach, the warm-up begins the moment the call connects, whatever the tram is doing.
Manchester’s rain comes often rather than in great amounts. Woodford’s 1991–2020 record shows 868 mm a year, July afternoons averaging 20.7°C, January nights 1.1°C and around 40 frosty nights. Up towards the moors it is wetter still, with Rochdale on 1,197 mm. December is the real test: barely 53 hours of sun in 31 days. On those mornings, a 7 AM workout by the radiator wins over a soggy, unlit Fallowfield Loop.

Questions people in Manchester ask before their first session.
Around £65 an hour, by Fresha’s estimate for trainers listed in Manchester (checked 28 October 2026). Listed rates spread from £20 for an hour of gym-confidence coaching in Salford to £65 for a single city-centre hour, and a Didsbury studio charges £37.50 a session on a four-pack. MakeMyFitness offers live 45-minute online personal training in Manchester from £19 a session, with a certified coach correcting your form on video.
From 6 AM until 2:30 PM on GMT, roughly late October to late March, stretching to 3:30 PM once the clocks go forward. Our coaches live and work in India, so nothing runs in the evening. In practice Manchester clients pick the hour before the commute, a lunch break in town, a work-from-home morning or the gap after school drop-off.
Yes. Personal Gym Training exists for exactly that, at £19 a session or 12 for £167, and your membership stays as it is. PureGym on Market Street charged £16.99 a month for Off-Peak and £22.99 for Core on 28 October 2026. Off-Peak there lets you in on weekdays until 15:30, which covers every hour we coach.
We hold no UK awards, Level 3 included, and we would rather say so up front: the PureGym Spinningfields trainer profiles we checked list Level 3. Kumar Abhishek, who leads our coaching, has a Diploma in Personal Training and a Human Performance Nutritionist qualification from K11 School of Fitness Sciences, plus TRX Suspension Training.
If you can lay out a yoga mat, yes. Add a phone or laptop, and usually dumbbells or a band. The coach follows you on camera and calls out corrections as you go. In an Ancoats mill conversion or a Levenshulme terrace with thin floors, ask for a low-impact plan with no jumps so the people below stay happy.
We bill in pounds and take UK debit and credit cards; book with the form here or message us on WhatsApp. Give 24 hours’ warning and any session can move, handy when a derby at the Etihad or a Metrolink closure scrambles the week. A 4-week plan bundles 12 sessions at three a week.
