Why London trains online
On census day in 2021, 9.9% of working Londoners got to work by Tube, light rail or tram, against under 1% anywhere else in England. Adding a trip to a gym on top of that is where a lot of London plans stall. A session in your front room starts when you open the laptop.
The new towers in Canary Wharf, Nine Elms and Stratford often come with a residents’ gym that sits empty at lunchtime. You already pay for it in the service charge. Prop your phone on a bench and your coach counts the reps, fixes the squat and keeps the rest periods honest.
The Met Office’s Hampstead station averages 119.6 days a year with at least 1 mm of rain, and October is the wettest month at 78.6 mm. A run in Victoria Park can wait for a dry day; a strength session indoors happens either way.
London rarely gets too hot or too cold to train. The Met Office’s 1991–2020 averages for Hampstead give July highs of 22.7°C and January lows of 2.3°C, with about 31 days of air frost a year, most of them from December to February. What breaks routines is the dark: December averages only 54 hours of sunshine for the whole month. That is when a 7 AM session at home, with the heating on, beats a cold run in the dark.

Yes. You need a phone or laptop, a mat’s worth of floor and, for most programmes, a pair of dumbbells or a resistance band. Your coach watches on video and corrects your form in real time. Sessions can be kept quiet, with no jumping, if you live above someone in a converted Victorian terrace.
No. UK chains such as Fitness First ask their trainers for a Level 3 personal training qualification, and we don’t hold UK qualifications. Our lead coach, Kumar Abhishek, holds a Diploma in Personal Training and is a Human Performance Nutritionist, both from K11 School of Fitness Sciences, and is TRX Suspension Training qualified. Our coaches are based in India and coach you live on video.
Yes, that is what Personal Gym Training is for: £19 a session, or £167 for 12. You keep your own membership, which at PureGym runs from £24.99 a month on Core in Croydon to £49.99 in Clapham (checked 28 October 2026), and your coach joins on your phone, propped where they can see you.
Plans are charged in pounds and UK debit and credit cards are accepted. Book through the form on this page or on WhatsApp. You can move any session with 24 hours’ notice, which helps when a Tube strike or a late meeting rearranges your week. A 4-week plan is 12 sessions, three a week.
