Why Leicester trains online
Census 2021 found 21.3% of Leicester households were couples with dependent children, up from 19.5% in 2011, and 7.8% of adults were looking after home or family, against 4.8% across England. That is a lot of people free between drop-off and pick-up. Our UK window covers exactly those hours.
Leicester station is 99 miles from London St Pancras, and the morning peak trains take about 1 hour 25 minutes. If you commute south two or three days a week, a 6:15 AM session in the living room is done before the train, and the gym bag stays at home.
Sutton Bonington, the Met Office climate station nearest the city, records rain of 1 mm or more on 118 days in an average year and just 47.7 hours of December sunshine. The Great Central Way has no street lighting south of the Soar Valley Bridge. A session indoors runs whatever the sky does.
Leicester’s weather rarely stops training, it just makes it gloomier. Sutton Bonington’s Met Office averages for 1991–2020 show July afternoons reaching 22.0°C, January nights dropping to 1.9°C and 42 frosts in a typical year, most between December and February. June, surprisingly, brings the most rain: 63.7 mm. Victoria Park and Abbey Park are pleasant from April to September; from November to February a session at home is the reliable option.

MakeMyFitness offers live 45-minute online personal training in Leicester from £19 a session, or £167 for 12, with a certified coach correcting your form on video.
From 6 AM until a last start of 2:30 PM, UK time, between late October and late March; while the clocks are forward the last slot moves to 3:30 PM. Yes, that is Personal Gym Training, at £19 a session. No. Nuffield Health says every trainer at its Leicester club is CIMSPA registered; ours are not, and we hold no UK awards. Kumar Abhishek, who leads our coaching, earned a Diploma in Personal Training and Human Performance Nutritionist certification at K11 School of Fitness Sciences, plus TRX Suspension Training. The team works from India.
Yes. Census 2021 counted 23.5% of Leicester residents as Muslim and 17.9% as Hindu, so fasting months and festival weeks shape many routines here. Tell your coach and the plan changes: shorter, lighter sessions while fasting, and a morning slot that fits around prayers, work or the garba nights. Give a day’s notice and any session can be rescheduled.
