Why Liverpool trains online

The membership you already pay for, finally used properly

PureGym Liverpool Central, in the Lewis’s Building by Central station, cost £20.99 a month on Core when we looked on 28 October 2026, and it never closes. The racks and dumbbells are there. Lean the phone against the rack; the coach picks the weights, times the rest and watches the bar path.

Sefton Park when it’s dry, the living room when it isn’t

Sefton Park alone is 235 acres, with a 7-acre lake, and Croxteth Country Park is about 500. Run in them when the sky allows. On the 147 days a year that bring at least 1 mm of rain to the Met Office station at Crosby, the strength work moves inside and goes ahead anyway.

Booked like a meeting, kept like one

The coaching team works from India, which puts Liverpool bookings between 6 AM and 2:30 PM, or 3:30 PM once the clocks go forward. That covers the hours Scousers can usually protect: before the Northern line into town, the dinner hour, as Liverpool calls lunch, a quiet morning working from home.

147 wet days a year

Mild by the Mersey, soaked from October to January

Heat and snow almost never stop training here; rain does. Averages from the Met Office station at Crosby for 1991–2020 put July’s typical high at 20.0°C and January’s low at 2.8°C, with 824 mm of rain across the year. December tops the table with 91.9 mm over about 15 wet days, while April gets just 49.8 mm. Frost comes on roughly 28 days, mostly December to February. From autumn into winter, an indoor session is what keeps the week intact.
