How much is a personal trainer in Ras Al Khaimah in 2026?
A personal trainer in Ras Al Khaimah has no published market rate. We looked for one in October 2026: ServiceMarket, the UAE home-services marketplace, publishes cost guides for Dubai and Abu Dhabi but not for RAK, and none of the RAK gym listings we opened prints a personal training price. So this guide uses the nearest honest comparison and names it every time.
The nearest comparison is ServiceMarket’s Dubai guide, updated on 25 April 2026. It puts one-to-one training in a gym at AED 200–600 a session and a trainer who comes to your home at AED 250–450. ServiceMarket’s Abu Dhabi guide, updated the same day, lists a general-fitness home session at AED 269 and a bodybuilding session at AED 269, with yoga and boxing at AED 299. They are the nearest benchmark for any quote you get in RAK, including from a Dubai-based trainer willing to drive up the coast.
| What you buy | Published price | Where it applies | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| One-to-one in a gym | AED 200–600 a session | Dubai | ServiceMarket, updated 25 April 2026 |
| Trainer at your home | AED 250–450 a session | Dubai | ServiceMarket, updated 25 April 2026 |
| General-fitness home session | AED 269, or AED 349 for two | Abu Dhabi | ServiceMarket, updated 25 April 2026 |
| Bodybuilding home session | AED 269, or AED 369 for two | Abu Dhabi | ServiceMarket, updated 25 April 2026 |
| Gold’s Gym coached sessions | Two free with any membership | UAE, including Mina Al Arab | Gold’s Gym UAE |
| MakeMyFitness Personal Gym Training | AED 92 a session | Live video, anywhere in RAK | Our price list |
What this means in practice: if a trainer in Al Nakheel or Al Hamra quotes you a session price, AED 200–450 is the range they are being measured against. A quote well below it is worth asking about, and one above it should come with a clear reason, such as a specialist qualification.
How much is a gym membership in Ras Al Khaimah, gym by gym?
A gym membership in Ras Al Khaimah costs from AED 149 to AED 450 a month at the eight gyms Property Finder listed on 29 July 2025, with annual memberships from AED 1,399 to AED 2,999. That is the most complete RAK price list we found. Treat it as a guide from a 2025 article, not today’s rate card, and confirm at the desk.
| Gym | Area | One month | One year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fitness Time | Al Nakheel | AED 149 | AED 1,399 |
| Rashaqa Life Gym (ladies only) | Al Dhait South | AED 149 | AED 1,799 |
| Fitness First | Al Hamra Mall, Al Jazirah Al Hamra | AED 149 | AED 2,999 |
| Health Square Fitness Club | Al Jazeera, opposite Mina Al Arab | AED 150 | Not listed |
| Power Zone Fitness Club | Sheikh Khalifa City | AED 150 | AED 1,400 |
| Asylum Fitness | Al Turfa | AED 199 | AED 1,900 |
| A25 Gym | Sheikh Khalifa City | AED 300 | AED 2,300 |
| KTL Gym (open 24 hours) | Julphar Towers, Dafan Al Nakheel | AED 450 | AED 1,800 |
Two patterns stand out. First, the monthly price is a poor guide to the yearly one: Fitness First and Fitness Time both list AED 149 for a month, but a year at Fitness First costs AED 2,999 against AED 1,399 at Fitness Time. Second, KTL Gym’s yearly rate of AED 1,800 works out at AED 150 a month, a third of its single-month price, so committing for a year changes the picture.
For women who want a ladies-only floor, Property Finder describes Rashaqa Life Gym in Al Dhait as the largest ladies’ gym in Ras Al Khaimah, with four branches. Power Zone in Sheikh Khalifa City lists separate male and female workout areas.
Do Gold’s Gym and Fitness First publish prices for their RAK clubs?
Neither Gold’s Gym nor Fitness First publishes a membership or personal training price for Ras Al Khaimah on its own website. We checked both membership pages on 28 October 2026.
- Gold’s Gym UAE lists one RAK club, the mixed gym at Mina Al Arab. It sells three tiers: Home Club for one club, Passport for every UAE club except Al Ain, and Signature Passport, which adds up to 14 visits to more than 730 clubs worldwide. Every tier includes two complimentary personal training sessions.
- Fitness First UAE lists four tiers, Home, Platinum, Titanium and All Access, with All Access covering all 33 of its clubs. Its membership page doesn’t say which tier the Al Hamra Mall club belongs to, so ask at the club before you choose a tier.
- Cities Insider, an undated city guide, estimates Fitness First Al Hamra Mall at AED 300–500 a month and the Al Hamra Golf Club gym at AED 250–400. Those are estimates, not published rates, and they are higher than the AED 149 one-month price in Property Finder’s list.
Where are Ras Al Khaimah’s gyms, and what if you live far from one?
Ras Al Khaimah’s gyms cluster in two places: the city side around Al Nakheel, Dafan Al Nakheel, Al Dhait and Sheikh Khalifa City, and the resort coast around Al Hamra Mall and Mina Al Arab. Six of the eight gyms on Property Finder’s list sit on the city side. Fitness First at Al Hamra Mall and Health Square opposite Mina Al Arab serve the southern resort strip, and Gold’s Gym’s only RAK club is at Mina Al Arab.
That leaves a lot of the emirate without a big chain nearby. If you live in a Khuzam or Al Mamourah villa, or out towards Al Rams in the north, the nearest gym with a full rack may be a drive away. That is one reason home training makes sense here, and a villa has the room for it: a bench, a pair of adjustable dumbbells and a mat fit in a spare room or under a covered terrace.
What does a coached month cost in Ras Al Khaimah, all in?
A month of three coached sessions a week costs from AED 818 to more than AED 3,000 for a Ras Al Khaimah resident, depending on who coaches you. This table adds membership where you need one, using the prices above. Trainer rates are the nearest published UAE figures, because no RAK rate exists.
| Setup | Coaching | Gym | Month total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gym trainer at the low end of the Dubai range, Fitness Time membership | AED 2,400 | AED 149 | AED 2,549 |
| Home trainer at ServiceMarket’s AED 269 rate | AED 3,228 | None | AED 3,228 |
| Two neighbours sharing a home trainer at AED 349 | AED 2,094 each | None | AED 2,094 each |
| MakeMyFitness Personal Gym Training, Fitness Time membership | AED 818 | AED 149 | AED 967 |
| MakeMyFitness Personal Gym Training in a compound gym | AED 818 | None | AED 818 |
| MakeMyFitness Personal Home Training in your villa | AED 935 | None | AED 935 |
| MakeMyFitness Group Classes | AED 468 per person | None | AED 468 per person |
A trainer who drives up from Dubai may also add a travel fee: ServiceMarket notes that some home trainers charge one depending on distance and kit. That is a real cost in RAK, where the trainer’s journey is longer than it would be across Dubai.
Is online personal training worth it in RAK?
Online personal training is worth it in Ras Al Khaimah if you have a little floor space or a gym you already use, and you want a coach without paying AED 200 or more a session. A MakeMyFitness session is a live video call, not a recorded workout: a certified coach watches you on your phone, corrects your form as you move and changes the plan to suit the kit in front of you.
| Program | One session | 4-week plan (12 sessions) | Per session on the plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal Gym Training1:1, 45 minutes | AED 92 | AED 818 | about AED 68 |
| Personal Home Training1:1, 45 minutes | AED 104 | AED 935 | about AED 78 |
| Rehab & Recovery1:1, once a doctor or physio has cleared you | AED 150 | AED 1,403 | about AED 117 |
| Group ClassesPer person, small group | AED 58 | AED 468 | about AED 39 |
Each one-to-one session is 45 minutes, and the 4-week plan is 12 sessions, three a week. Our coaches are based in India, so sessions run from 4:30 AM to 6:30 PM UAE time, every day, with no clock change to plan round. A 5:30 AM slot gets you done before the heat; 3–5 PM fits after school. You can move any session with 24 hours’ notice, and keep training from a hotel room when you travel.
The limit is physical: a coach on a screen can’t spot a heavy squat or hand you a lighter dumbbell. What they can do is see every rep and cue you in the moment. Our lead coach, Kumar Abhishek, qualified at K11 School of Fitness Sciences with a Diploma in Personal Training and as a Human Performance Nutritionist, and holds a TRX Suspension Training certification. Read more about how Kumar coaches.
What does rehab coaching cost next to physiotherapy in RAK?
Physiotherapy in Ras Al Khaimah costs an indicative AED 180–550 a session, according to Zavis, a healthcare price directory, which says its range is not taken from a published price list. Physiotherapy is treatment, and it should come first after an injury. Our Rehab & Recovery program is different: it is exercise coaching for after your doctor or physio has cleared you, at AED 150 a session or AED 1,403 for 12.
That split suits a common RAK pattern: a sore knee after the Jebel Jais descent or a back that tightens on the commute. The physio diagnoses and treats; once you are discharged, a coach keeps you doing the strengthening work three times a week so the problem doesn’t come back.
Five things to check before you pay a RAK trainer or gym
- 1
Get the annual and monthly price side by side
Property Finder’s list shows how far they can differ: AED 149 a month at Fitness First but AED 2,999 a year. Ask for both, and what a freeze over the summer costs.
- 2
Ask a travelling trainer about fuel and time
A trainer coming from Dubai or Ajman may build the drive into the price. Ask whether the quote includes travel, and what happens if traffic makes them late.
- 3
Check your compound’s rules
If you want an outside trainer in your Al Hamra or Mina Al Arab residents’ gym, ask the community management office first whether visitors may coach there.
- 4
Ask what the trainer is qualified in
Ask where they studied and what the certificate covers. A good trainer answers directly and is happy for you to check.
- 5
Know the cancellation rule
Ask how much notice moves a session without losing it. Ours is 24 hours.
Which kind of coaching suits a Ras Al Khaimah resident?
- A trainer in person suits you if you lift heavy and want a spotter, or if you are a complete beginner who wants hands-on cues. Expect the AED 200–600 range above, plus a gym, and possibly a travel fee.
- A chain club with free sessions suits you if you live near Mina Al Arab or Al Hamra Mall and like a busy gym floor. Use Gold’s Gym’s two complimentary sessions before you buy a pack.
- A low-cost independent gym on your own suits you if you already know how to train and only need the kit, from AED 149 a month in Al Nakheel or Al Dhait.
- MakeMyFitness suits you if you train at home, in a compound gym or at your own club and want a coach planning and watching every session for AED 92, between 4:30 AM and 6:30 PM. We don’t suit you if you need someone in the room spotting maximal lifts, or if you can only train in the evening.
