What does a personal trainer cost in Sharjah in 2026?
Personal training in Sharjah costs around AED 150 to AED 300 a session. That is the range the Salonist venue directory gives on its page for gyms in Al Majaz 1, which we checked on 28 October 2026. The same page puts drop-in classes at AED 50 to AED 100. Salonist lists 19 fitness venues in Al Majaz alone, from small bodybuilding gyms to studios selling EMS, Pilates and swimming.
Sharjah’s rates sit below Dubai’s. ServiceMarket’s Dubai cost guide, updated on 25 April 2026, gives AED 200–600 for a one-to-one session in a Dubai gym and AED 250–450 for a session at home. If you live in Al Nahda or Al Khan and hire a trainer based across the border, you are paying Dubai prices, not Sharjah ones.
| Option | Price | Three a week for a month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trainer at a Sharjah gym | About AED 150–300 a session | AED 1,800–3,600 | Salonist, Al Majaz 1 page |
| Drop-in class at a Sharjah studio | AED 50–100 a class | AED 600–1,200 | Salonist, Al Majaz 1 page |
| Dubai-based home trainer | AED 250–450 a session | AED 3,000–5,400 | ServiceMarket, 25 April 2026 |
| Dubai trainer, ServiceMarket’s listed rate | AED 269 single, AED 349 for two | AED 3,228 single | ServiceMarket price table |
| GymNation starter session | Free with a new membership | One session only | GymNation Sharjah pages |
| MakeMyFitness Personal Gym Training | AED 92 a session | AED 818 (4-week plan) | Our price list |
| MakeMyFitness Group Classes | AED 58 per person | AED 468 (4-week plan) | Our price list |
The table is a monthly budget, not a ranking. A trainer at the low end of Sharjah’s range still costs more than twice our 12-session plan, and a Dubai trainer at ServiceMarket’s listed AED 269 coming to an Al Khan flat costs about four times as much.
How much is GymNation in Sharjah, and does it include a trainer?
GymNation runs three locations in Sharjah, and each has a men’s gym and a separate ladies’ gym in the same mall. On 28 October 2026 every Sharjah branch page showed the same three monthly prices: Core at AED 209 for one club, Plus at AED 240 for every GymNation, and Signature at AED 399, which adds HYROX and Blitz classes. The Sharjah hub page also advertises memberships “starting from just AED 99/month”, so ask at the desk which offer applies to you.
| Location | Core (one club) | Plus (every club) | Signature |
|---|---|---|---|
| City Centre Al Zahia, ground floor | AED 209 | AED 240 | AED 399 |
| Mega Mall, second floor (Al Qasimia) | AED 209 | AED 240 | AED 399 |
| Sharjah Central Mall, top floor | AED 209 | AED 240 | AED 399 |
Every new member gets one free starter personal training session. GymNation describes its PT packages as “affordable and flexible” but prints no price for them, so you will get a quote after that first session. All three Sharjah locations are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and the branch pages list free parking, free WiFi, Olympic lifting platforms and free weights up to 60 kg.
Why do Sharjah gyms publish so few trainer prices?
Many Sharjah gyms are independent clubs, and independent clubs tend to quote at the counter. Dubizzle’s round-up of fitness-friendly Sharjah areas names gyms neighbourhood by neighbourhood, and outside GymNation few of them belong to a big chain. None of the chain price lists we checked fills the gap: Gold’s Gym UAE’s membership page lists clubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, and none in Sharjah.
- Al Majaz: Florida Bodybuilding Gym Majaz 2, Rich Fitness Gym, Fast and Fit Fitness, and Ultra Premium Fitness Ladies and Gents Gym, per Dubizzle. This is the area Salonist’s AED 150–300 estimate is written for.
- Al Qasimia: GymNation Mega Mall men’s and ladies’ gyms, plus Gravity Fitness, Leaders Fitness, Armour Fitness and several bodybuilding gyms.
- Al Nahda: Florida Bodybuilding Gym Al Nahda, XFit Gym and Swimming Academy, and Al Nahda Fitness Centre.
- Muwaileh: Energy Zone Fitness, GYMTOWN, Inspire Fitness and Phoenix Fitness Gym.
- Al Khan: Hammer Fitness, Black Wolf MMA & Fitness Centre and Real Fit Gym.
- Al Zahia: GymNation Al Zahia and a HYROX Sharjah training club, in a community Dubizzle says covers about one million square metres.
Because so few prices are online, you will usually compare quotes in person. Take the Salonist range as your yardstick: a quote well above AED 300 a session in Al Majaz or Al Qasimia is a Dubai price, and you should ask what it buys.
Is it cheaper to hire a personal trainer in Sharjah or Dubai?
Hiring in Sharjah is cheaper: the local range of about AED 150–300 a session starts AED 50 below Dubai’s AED 200 gym floor and AED 100 below Dubai’s AED 250 home rate. ServiceMarket’s own listed Dubai home session is AED 269 for one person and AED 349 for two. Its guide adds that some home trainers charge a travel or setup fee depending on distance and kit.
Distance is the real cost for a Sharjah household. A Dubai-based trainer reaching Al Nahda, Al Khan or Al Taawun has to cross the border at the busiest time of day, and that time is in the price. A villa in Muwaileh or a townhouse in Al Zahia has room for a bench and kettlebells, which suits a visiting trainer. A one-bedroom in Abu Shagara or Rolla may only fit a mat, which leaves a visiting trainer with little to work with.
Sharing brings a Dubai trainer down to Sharjah prices. On ServiceMarket’s Dubai list, two people sharing a session pay AED 174.50 each. If your neighbour in the same Aljada block has the same goal, ask any trainer for a pairs rate.
What does a coached month cost in Sharjah once membership is added?
A month of three coached sessions a week costs between AED 818 and roughly AED 3,800 in Sharjah, depending on who coaches you and whether you also pay a gym. This table adds GymNation’s published Core and Plus rates where a gym is part of the plan.
| Setup | Coaching | Gym | Month total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sharjah gym trainer, low end | AED 1,800 | AED 209 (GymNation Core) | AED 2,009 |
| Sharjah gym trainer, high end | AED 3,600 | AED 209 (GymNation Core) | AED 3,809 |
| Dubai home trainer at the listed rate | AED 3,228 | None | AED 3,228 |
| MakeMyFitness at GymNation, one club | AED 818 | AED 209 | AED 1,027 |
| MakeMyFitness at GymNation, every club | AED 818 | AED 240 | AED 1,058 |
| MakeMyFitness Personal Home Training | AED 935 | None | AED 935 |
| MakeMyFitness Group Classes | AED 468 per person | None | AED 468 per person |
Can women in Sharjah train with a coach in a ladies-only setting?
Yes. GymNation’s Sharjah hub says each of its three locations has a fully separate ladies’ facility, not a shared or mixed area, with its own entrance, its own workout areas and female trainers. Dubizzle also lists Ultra Premium Fitness Ladies and Gents Gym in Al Majaz.
Sharjah’s decency rules, issued in 2001, say men may not visit places marked “Ladies Only” except where local norms allow it, Khaleej Times reported. That is why a male freelance trainer can’t follow a client onto a ladies’ floor. With an online coach, the camera does the work: check your club’s rule on phones first, frame only yourself, and use earphones so your coach’s cues reach only you. Training at home is simpler still, because nobody else is in the room.
Is online personal training worth it in Sharjah?
Online coaching is worth it in Sharjah if your weekday is shaped by the drive to Dubai and you want a planned, supervised session without paying AED 150–300 each time. MakeMyFitness sessions are live video calls with a certified coach, not videos you follow alone. The coach watches through your phone, corrects your form in real time and adapts the plan to whatever you have: a GymNation floor, a building gym in Al Taawun or two dumbbells in an Al Nahda flat.
| Program | One session | 4-week plan (12 sessions) | Per session on the plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal Gym Training1:1, 45 minutes | AED 92 | AED 818 | about AED 68 |
| Personal Home Training1:1, 45 minutes | AED 104 | AED 935 | about AED 78 |
| Rehab & Recovery1:1, once a doctor or physio has cleared you | AED 150 | AED 1,403 | about AED 117 |
| Group ClassesPer person, small group | AED 58 | AED 468 | about AED 39 |
One-to-one sessions last 45 minutes, and the 4-week plan bundles 12 of them, three a week, at a lower rate per session. Slots run from 4:30 AM to 6:30 PM UAE time every day, because our coaches work from India, 90 minutes ahead, and the UAE never changes its clocks. For a Sharjah commuter that means a 5 AM session before Al Ittihad Road fills, or a Friday or Sunday morning if you are on the Sharjah government’s three-day weekend. Moving a session needs 24 hours’ notice.
Here is what video can’t do. Your coach can’t spot a heavy bench press or physically guide your hips into a hinge. They can see every rep, cue you mid-set and keep the programme moving week to week. Kumar Abhishek, who leads our coaches, studied at K11 School of Fitness Sciences, where he gained a Diploma in Personal Training and qualified as a Human Performance Nutritionist, and he is certified in TRX Suspension Training. What should you ask a Sharjah trainer before you pay?
- 1
Get the 12-session total in writing
Most Sharjah gyms quote at the counter. Ask for the price of 12 sessions, how long you have to use them and what happens to the ones you miss. Hold it against the AED 1,800–3,600 a month the Salonist range implies.
- 2
Ask whether the trainer is employed by the gym
An independent gym may let freelance trainers work on its floor, or may not. Check before you hire a freelancer to coach you at your own club.
- 3
Check travel fees for home visits
A trainer coming from Dubai may add a travel charge, as ServiceMarket notes. Ask, and ask what happens when traffic makes them late.
- 4
Confirm the ladies’ floor rules
If you train in a ladies-only section, ask the club whether a female trainer is available and whether phones are allowed on that floor.
- 5
Use the free session
A new GymNation member gets a free starter session. Watch how the trainer coaches before you commit to a package.
- 6
Plan for summer and Ramadan
Ask whether a package can be paused while you travel in July or August, and whether the trainer offers early slots in Ramadan, when working hours drop by two hours a day.
Which kind of Sharjah personal trainer suits you?
- A trainer on the floor of a Sharjah gym suits you if you lift heavy and want a spotter, or you are brand new and want hands-on guidance. Budget about AED 150–300 a session, plus membership.
- A visiting trainer from Dubai suits a Muwaileh villa or Al Zahia townhouse with room for kit, and anyone who only trains when the doorbell rings. Budget AED 250–450 a session, plus any travel fee.
- GymNation’s own trainers suit you if you already belong and want someone on the gym floor, including a female trainer on the ladies’ side. Ask for the package price after your free session.
- MakeMyFitness suits you if you want every session planned and watched for AED 92, at home, in a building gym or at GymNation, between 4:30 AM and 6:30 PM. We don’t suit you if you need someone physically spotting heavy lifts, or if you can only train after you get home from Dubai in the evening.
