Personal Gym Training
Personal Gym Training (£19, or £167 for 12): take the phone to PureGym, The Gym Group or a Lifestyles centre and a coach directs the whole workout.
From £19 / session
Coached on video before the train, at lunch or after drop-off
MakeMyFitness puts a qualified coach on a live video call with you, wherever in Liverpool you train: a terrace in Wavertree, a converted warehouse near the Baltic Triangle, or the PureGym above Central station. The coach sees every rep, counts you through the sets and corrects the movement there and then. Bookings sit between 6 AM and 2:30 PM UK time. A 45-minute Personal Gym Training session is £19, against £30 for an hour at the University of Liverpool’s sports centre.

Why Liverpool trains online
PureGym Liverpool Central, in the Lewis’s Building by Central station, cost £20.99 a month on Core when we looked on 28 October 2026, and it never closes. The racks and dumbbells are there. Lean the phone against the rack; the coach picks the weights, times the rest and watches the bar path.
Sefton Park alone is 235 acres, with a 7-acre lake, and Croxteth Country Park is about 500. Run in them when the sky allows. On the 147 days a year that bring at least 1 mm of rain to the Met Office station at Crosby, the strength work moves inside and goes ahead anyway.
The coaching team works from India, which puts Liverpool bookings between 6 AM and 2:30 PM, or 3:30 PM once the clocks go forward. That covers the hours Scousers can usually protect: before the Northern line into town, the dinner hour, as Liverpool calls lunch, a quiet morning working from home.
Heat and snow almost never stop training here; rain does. Averages from the Met Office station at Crosby for 1991–2020 put July’s typical high at 20.0°C and January’s low at 2.8°C, with 824 mm of rain across the year. December tops the table with 91.9 mm over about 15 wet days, while April gets just 49.8 mm. Frost comes on roughly 28 days, mostly December to February. From autumn into winter, an indoor session is what keeps the week intact.

Questions people in Liverpool ask before their first session.
Liverpool gyms rarely print a figure. One that does is Active Liverpool, at the university, which lists £30 for one hour, £85 for three and £122 for five (seen 28 October 2026). Trainers working the floor at PureGym or The Gym Group quote their own rates. MakeMyFitness coaches Liverpool clients live on video for £19 per 45-minute session, with a certified coach checking your form in real time.
Anything from 6 AM to 2:30 PM UK time between late October and late March, stretching to 3:30 PM while the clocks are forward. Nothing in the evening: the coaching team is in India, where the working day has ended by then. Liverpool clients mostly pick 6:30 or 7 AM before work, 12:30 PM in the dinner hour, or the mid-morning gap after drop-off.
Yes, through Personal Gym Training at £19 a session, or £167 for a 4-week block of 12. Your membership stays as it is: Core at PureGym Liverpool Central was £20.99 a month and a pay-as-you-go adult gym visit at a Lifestyles centre £7.60 when we checked on 28 October 2026. The coach watches through your phone.
It is. Kit needed: something with a camera, roughly two square metres of floor, and usually a set of dumbbells or a band. If you share a party wall in a two-up two-down, or live over someone in a converted warehouse, ask for a no-jumping session and the coach plans it that way from the start.
No, and we don’t claim one. Level 3 is the bar many UK gym chains set for their own trainers. Kumar Abhishek, who leads our coaching, earned a Diploma in Personal Training at K11 School of Fitness Sciences, qualified there as a Human Performance Nutritionist, and holds a TRX Suspension Training certification. The team coaches from India.
