A personal coach on your screen, from Clifton to Fishponds
Bristol is hilly, wet and busy, and the gym is often the hardest part of a fitness plan to reach. MakeMyFitness brings the coach to you instead: one-to-one over live video, checking your squat and your pace in real time, in a Cotham flat, your building’s gym or your PureGym in Broadmead. We coach Bristol between 6 AM and 2:30 PM UK time, year round. A 45-minute session costs £19; University of Bristol Sport charges £36.75 for an hour.

Why Bristol trains online
Vale Street in Totterdown is said to be England’s steepest residential road, and Clifton looks down on Hotwells from the top of a long climb. Bristol’s gradients build your legs and wreck a routine of getting across town to a gym. Train at home and the commute is the stairs.
Met Office figures for Filton, on Bristol’s northern edge, average 819 mm of rain a year, with 136 days of at least 1 mm and November the wettest month on 90 mm. Save the Downs for dry mornings; a coached strength session indoors doesn’t depend on the forecast.
PureGym’s Off-Peak tier in Bristol cost £19.99 at Union Gate and £20.99 at Harbourside on 28 October 2026, and lets you in on weekdays until 3:30 PM. Every UK session we run ends inside those hours, so the cheaper membership is all you need.
Bristol’s climate is gentle on the body and hard on outdoor plans. Filton’s 1991–2020 Met Office record shows July averaging 21.7°C at its warmest and January dipping to 2.4°C overnight, with 33 nights of air frost a year, mostly between December and February. Light is the scarce thing: December averages 57 hours of sunshine in the whole month. A coached session at home at 7 AM is far easier to keep in December than a run in the dark across a muddy Downs.

Questions people in Bristol ask before their first session.
About £36.75 an hour, if you use University of Bristol Sport’s published rate as the guide; it was the only Bristol price we found in print on 28 October 2026. Gym trainers at PureGym, The Gym Group and Nuffield Health quote individually. MakeMyFitness coaches Bristol clients one to one over live video from £19 for 45 minutes, or £167 for 12 sessions.
The first slot starts at 6 AM and the last finishes at 2:30 PM between late October and late March. In British Summer Time the day runs an hour later, to 3:30 PM. We don’t coach evenings: our coaches work from India. In Bristol that means early starts, lunch hours, home-working mornings and the gap after the school run.
Yes. Personal Gym Training is built for that, at £19 a session. Keep your membership and prop your phone where the coach can see you. On 28 October 2026 PureGym Core was £25.99 a month at Harbourside and Union Gate, and The Gym Group started from £18.99 a month at its three Bristol gyms.
They don’t have to. If you live in a converted Victorian house, your coach can plan 45 minutes with no jumps and no dropped weights. Bring a phone or laptop, floor space to lie flat and, for most plans, dumbbells or a band. Personal Home Training is £21 a session, or £191 for 12.
We don’t, and we’d rather tell you now. Kumar Abhishek, our lead coach, earned a Diploma in Personal Training at K11 School of Fitness Sciences, where he also qualified as a Human Performance Nutritionist, and he is certified in TRX Suspension Training. Our coaches work from India and coach Bristol clients on live video.
On many days, yes. Filton’s Met Office averages show 12.8 to 14.6 days of rain a month from October to January, and just 57 hours of December sunshine. Book one indoor session a week that never moves, then use dry mornings for the Downs or the Bristol and Bath Railway Path.
We charge plans in pounds and take UK debit and credit cards. Book on this page or message us on WhatsApp. Give us 24 hours’ notice and any session can move, handy when the M32 jams or a child is off sick. Four weeks is 12 sessions, three a week: £167 in your gym, £191 at home.
