A coach on your screen, from Sutton Coldfield to Longbridge
MakeMyFitness trains Brummies over live video. Your coach watches each rep and fixes your technique while it happens, in a Jewellery Quarter flat, a Broad Street tower gym or the PureGym down the road in Edgbaston. Birmingham sessions run between 6 AM and 2:30 PM UK time all year, which suits early starts, work-from-home days and the gap after the school run. Personal Gym Training costs £19 a session; Nuffield Health’s Birmingham Central club prices its own trainers at about £25 an hour.

Why Birmingham trains online
PureGym’s Off-Peak plan at Snow Hill Plaza costs £17.99 a month and lets you in on weekdays until 16:00. Our Birmingham sessions end at 2:30 PM, so PureGym’s lowest tier covers every slot we run. You pay the low tier and still train with someone checking your depth and tempo.
Birmingham’s new rental towers come with fitness space: The Mercian on Broad Street has 481 flats, 42 storeys and a 200 m running track on its roof. A residents’ gym or rooftop is only useful if you know what to do there. Set your phone on a bench and a coach programmes the session.
The Met Office station at Winterbourne, University of Birmingham, records 41.7 days of air frost a year on 1991–2020 averages, with 9.5 in January alone. When the Edgbaston Reservoir path is icy, a strength session in your front room carries on as planned.
Birmingham sits on a plateau in the middle of England and feels it in winter. The Met Office’s 1991–2020 averages for Winterbourne give January highs of 7.1°C and lows of 1.6°C, and July highs of 21.5°C. December is the wettest month at 83.9 mm, and the city gets 809 mm of rain over 132.5 wet days a year. Midwinter has under 56 hours of sunshine a month, so an indoor session before work is the reliable choice from November to February.

Nuffield Health’s Birmingham Central page prices a 4-hour 1-2-1 pack at £100, about £25 an hour, but only for members paying £60 to £70 a month. Fitness First, whose only West Midlands club is in Solihull, says its training starts at £30 a session. Between 6 AM and 2:30 PM UK time in winter, and until 3:30 PM during British Summer Time. We don’t run evening sessions in the UK, because our coaches are based in India. Birmingham clients tend to book 6 or 6:30 AM before the commute, 9:30 AM after the school run, or a 12:15 PM lunch slot.
Yes, and it’s the cheapest way to do it. On 28 October 2026, PureGym’s Off-Peak plan cost £17.99 a month at Birmingham City Centre and Snow Hill Plaza, and at Snow Hill it covers weekdays until 16:00. Every session we run in Birmingham finishes by 2:30 PM in winter, inside those hours.
It does. You need a phone or laptop, about two metres by one of clear floor and, after the first few weeks, a pair of dumbbells or a resistance band. Your coach sees you on camera and corrects you as you move. Sessions can be kept low-impact if the floorboards in an old Moseley or Kings Heath terrace carry sound.
Our coaches are based in India and coach you live on video. Our lead coach, Kumar Abhishek, holds a Diploma in Personal Training and is a Human Performance Nutritionist, both from K11 School of Fitness Sciences, and is TRX Suspension Training qualified. We don’t hold UK qualifications such as Level 3, which many UK gym chains ask their own trainers for.
You pay in pounds with a UK debit or credit card, and you can book through the form on this page or on WhatsApp. A 4-week plan is 12 sessions, three a week. Any session can be moved with 24 hours’ notice, which helps when the M6 or a late shift rearranges your week.
