Live 1:1 coaching on video, West End to Southside
MakeMyFitness coaches Glaswegians live on video. A certified coach watches each rep and fixes your form as it happens, in a Partick tenement, a Finnieston new-build or your own Glasgow Club or PureGym. Sessions run from 6 AM to 2:30 PM UK time all year, so they fit before the Subway, at lunch or on a home-working morning. Personal Gym Training is £19 for 45 minutes; a Glasgow Club trainer charges £43 an hour.

Why Glasgow trains online
The Met Office’s Paisley station, the nearest climate station to the city, records 1,263 mm of rain a year across 174 days with at least 1 mm. December alone brings 161 mm. A run round Kelvingrove can wait for a dry spell; a coached strength session in your front room goes ahead regardless.
Glasgow Club’s FitClub costs £32 a month across 15 gyms, and its own trainers charge £43 for an hour on top. PureGym Bath Street’s Off-Peak plan is £16.99 and its off-peak hours cover our whole morning window. Prop your phone on a bench and your coach runs the session for £19.
Paisley averages just 34 hours of sunshine in the whole of December and 39 in January. When it is dark going to work and dark coming home, motivation drifts. A booked 7 AM or lunchtime session with a person waiting on the call is harder to skip than a plan to go to the gym later.
Glasgow rarely gets too hot or too cold to train, but it is wet. The Met Office’s 1991–2020 averages for Paisley give a July high of 19.8°C, a January high of 7.2°C and about 33 days of air frost a year, most of them from December to February. Rain falls on almost 18 days in an average January, and April, the driest month, still gets 66 mm. Outdoor running is easy in May, the sunniest month at 187 hours; from October to March, a session indoors is the one that reliably happens.

Questions people in Glasgow ask before their first session.
The city’s public gyms set a clear benchmark: Glasgow Club charges £43 for an hour of one-to-one training and £27 for 30 minutes, and Strathclyde Sport charges £40 for 45 minutes to non-members (both checked 28 October 2026). MakeMyFitness offers live 45-minute online personal training in Glasgow from £19 a session, or £167 for 12, with a certified coach correcting your form on video.
Before work or at lunch. We coach Glasgow from 6 AM to 2:30 PM UK time through the winter, and the window stretches to 3:30 PM once the clocks go forward in March. We don’t run evening slots, because the coaches work from India, where it is already night. For an office job, that means 6:30 or 7 AM at home, or a 12:15 PM lunch slot in a gym near your desk.
It doesn’t have to. Tell your coach you live above someone and the session is built without jumps: tempo squats, split squats, floor presses, band rows and slow core work. You need about two metres by one of clear floor, a phone propped where it can see you and, ideally, a pair of dumbbells. Wooden floors in older Glasgow flats carry sound, so a mat helps too.
Your coach is a member of our team in India, working live with you on video. Our lead coach, Kumar Abhishek, holds a Diploma in Personal Training and is a Human Performance Nutritionist, both from K11 School of Fitness Sciences, plus a TRX Suspension Training certification. We don’t hold UK qualifications such as a Level 3 or CIMSPA registration, and we would rather say so up front.
Yes, that is Personal Gym Training. Keep your FitClub (£32 a month) or ActivClub (£21) membership, or a PureGym plan from £16.99 Off-Peak at Bath Street, and your coach watches from your phone. Check your plan’s hours: PureGym Shawlands’ Off-Peak tier shuts you out between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM on weekdays, so a lunchtime session there needs Core.
Plans are billed in pounds sterling on a UK debit or credit card, and you can book through the form on this page or on WhatsApp. A 4-week plan is 12 sessions, three a week. Give us 24 hours’ notice and any session moves to another slot, which covers most Old Firm weekends, ScotRail cancellations and school holidays.
