Live, not a video library
Most "online fitness classes" are recordings, or a stream of someone performing a workout at a camera. A MakeMyFitness class is a live video call: the coach sees everyone, calls the next move, corrects what they can see and offers an easier or harder version of each exercise on the spot. If you stop, they notice. That's the difference between a class and a video.
The three class styles
| Style | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| HIIT | Short, hard intervals of bodyweight work with rests between. Fast and sweaty. | Fat loss, fitness, people short on time |
| Strength | Bodyweight and household-weight strength patterns: squats, hinges, pushes, pulls, done well. | Building muscle and strength without a gym |
| Mobility and stretch | Hips, back and shoulders, with control. Move better, feel better. | Desk workers, stiff mornings, recovery days |
| Mix it up | A bit of everything across the week. | Most people, most weeks |
You pick the styles you like in the booking questions. Within a class, every exercise has an easier and a harder version, so a beginner and a regular can train in the same session; nobody is compared with anyone.
What a class looks like
- 1
Join the call
Your session page has the Google Meet link; a reminder arrives before the class. Phone propped up, a mat's worth of space.
- 2
Warm up together
A few minutes of easy movement while the coach sees how everyone is moving today.
- 3
The main block
For HIIT: intervals and rests called by the coach. For strength: sets of the main patterns with cues. For mobility: guided positions and holds.
- 4
Cool down, and next time
A stretch, and what's coming next session.
Join alone, or with people you choose
- On your own. Book a place and train alongside the other participants in the class.
- With friends or family. Tell us who's joining and how many of you there are; one coach, one call, everyone in different homes or even different countries.
- With colleagues. A team class three times a week is the simplest corporate wellness there is: no venue, no equipment, ₹499 per person a class. Tell us in the booking questions that you're colleagues.
Who group classes suit, and who should book one-to-one instead
Classes suit people who train better with company and a fixed time, who are generally well and want to get fitter, stronger or leaner. They're coached live, but the coach's attention is shared. If you're learning to lift from scratch, coming back from an injury, or want every rep watched, start with one-to-one training instead, or mix the two: a weekly one-to-one session for technique and classes for volume.
What it costs
₹499 per person for a class, or ₹4,040 per person for a 4-week plan of 12 classes, about ₹337 each, three a week. You pay once by a secure link; nothing renews. Compare that with a gym group-class membership that charges monthly whether you turn up or not, and with what a live coach in the room costs per person. The maths for different weekly frequencies is in our cost-per-month guide.
