Personal Gym Training
Coached live at the gym you already pay for, from the Crunch on Westheimer to the fitness room in your Midtown complex.
From $25 / session
Train before the heat and the freeway, with a coach on video.
Houston spreads over 640 square miles, July afternoons average 94.5°F (35°C), and most trips start on a freeway. MakeMyFitness skips the drive to a trainer: a certified coach joins you on a live video call for 45 minutes of one-on-one training in your living room, your apartment complex gym or the Crunch you already belong to. Our coaches are based in India, so Houston sessions run early in the morning and late in the evening, from $25 a session.

Personal training in Houston
$60–120
a session
Trainero's March 2026 pricing guide puts trainers at big-box gyms at $60 to $120 a session nationally; Houston's Crunch club pages list no training price, so this industry estimate is the nearest published figure, and you pay the gym on top.

Why Houston trains online
The National Weather Service puts Houston's average high above 90°F from June through September, with nights still near 75°F in July. A home session runs in your air conditioning, whatever the heat index says.
Houston is built around the 610 Loop, Beltway 8 about 10 miles out and the Grand Parkway beyond. Meeting a trainer usually means another drive. A live session starts when you open the laptop.
Houston averages 51.84 inches of rain a year at Bush Intercontinental, with 6 inches in a normal June. When the bayous run high and the trails flood, your session still happens in the living room.
The NWS 1991–2020 normals for Bush Intercontinental put July at 94.5°F (35°C) by day and 75.7°F (24°C) at night, and January at a mild 63.8°F (18°C) with lows near 44°F (7°C). May, June and October each bring 5 inches or more of rain. Outdoor runs move to dawn in summer; a session on video doesn't move at all.

Questions people in Houston ask before their first session.
Big-box gym trainers charge about $60 to $120 a session nationally (Trainero, March 2026), and Houston campus gyms charge less: UTHealth Houston's Rec Center lists $45 for a 60-minute session for members. You also pay the gym, from $9.99 a month at Houston Crunch clubs. MakeMyFitness offers live 45-minute online personal training sessions in Houston from $25, with a certified coach correcting your form on video.
It's one of the easiest ways to keep training from June to September, when Houston's average high stays above 90°F and July nights average 75.7°F (24°C). You train in your own air conditioning with a coach watching on video, so there's no heat index to check and no wet trail to skip.
In Central Standard Time the window is 6:30 PM to 8:30 AM; under daylight saving it shifts an hour later, to 7:30 PM to 9:30 AM. Book between 5 and 8:30 AM, or 7:30 and 11 PM, and your slot never moves. Houston clients tend to pick 5:30 or 6 AM, ahead of rush hour, or 8:30 PM once bedtime is done.
Just a phone or laptop and floor for a mat. A pair of dumbbells or a band is useful later, not on day one. Many Houston complexes have a fitness room; tell your coach what is in it and the plan gets built around that kit.
The coaching team works from India, hence the early and late Houston slots. Kumar Abhishek, who leads it, trained at K11 School of Fitness Sciences (Diploma in Personal Training; Human Performance Nutritionist) and is TRX Suspension Training certified, with no American credential like NASM or ACE. Pay in dollars on any US card, and move a booking free with 24 hours' notice.
Yes. That's Personal Gym Training, $25 a session or $223 for 12. Set your phone on a bench at Crunch Kirkwood, a YMCA of Greater Houston center or your building's gym and your coach runs every set live. Crunch's Houston clubs listed a Base plan at $9.99 a month on an annual commitment in October 2026, so gym and coach together come to about $233 a month.
