From $25 / session
A live coach before the Red Line, or after the kids are asleep.
Boston trains around snowbanks, hospital shifts, lab hours and the T. MakeMyFitness puts a certified coach on a live video call with you: 45 minutes of one-on-one training in your triple-decker apartment, your condo gym or the Y you already belong to, with every rep watched and corrected as you go. Our coaches are based in India, so Boston sessions run early in the morning and late in the evening, from $25 a session.

Why Boston trains online
NOAA's 1991–2020 normals give Logan Airport 49.2 inches of snow a year, with 14.3 inches in January and 14.4 in February. When the sidewalks turn to slush, your session still happens on the living room rug.
Nearly a third of Bostonians take public transit to work. A live session means no extra trip on the Green Line to meet a trainer across town: you open the laptop at home and your coach is already there.
The YMCA of Greater Boston has branches from Charlestown and East Boston to Dorchester, Roxbury and Hyde Park. Prop your phone on a bench and your coach runs each set around the equipment that's actually there.
At Logan Airport, NOAA's 1991–2020 normals put January highs at 36.8°F (2.7°C) and lows at 23.1°F (−4.9°C), with 91.6 nights a year at or below freezing. July averages 82.1°F (27.8°C) by day, and about 14 days a year pass 90°F (32°C). Ice on the Esplanade and sticky July afternoons both cancel outdoor plans. A session on video doesn't get cancelled.

Questions people in Boston ask before their first session.
The YMCA of Greater Boston values two personal training sessions at $160, or $80 each (October 2026), and industry estimates put US sessions at $40 to $120 (Trainero, March 2026), usually on top of gym dues. MakeMyFitness offers live 45-minute online personal training sessions in Boston from $25, with a certified coach correcting your form on video.
Boston sessions run from 7:30 PM to 9:30 AM Eastern time in winter and from 8:30 PM to 10:30 AM in summer, after the clocks go forward. The slots that work all year are 5 to 9:30 AM and 8:30 PM to midnight. Most people book 6 AM before the T, or 9 PM once the house is quiet.
Yes. You need a phone or laptop and about the floor space of a yoga mat. In an upper-floor unit your coach swaps jumps and burpees for tempo squats, split squats, floor presses and band work, so the neighbors downstairs hear nothing. Two adjustable dumbbells cover most programs; if you have none, bodyweight and a backpack work for the first weeks.
Nothing changes. Logan Airport averages 49.2 inches of snow a year in NOAA's 1991–2020 normals, and a heavy storm turns the walk to the gym into a slog through unplowed sidewalks. Your session is on video, so you train at home at the usual time. If you'd rather shovel first, move the session with 24 hours' notice.
Our coaches are based in India, which is why Boston sessions sit in the early morning and late evening. Lead coach Kumar Abhishek holds a Diploma in Personal Training and a Human Performance Nutritionist qualification, both from K11 School of Fitness Sciences, plus TRX Suspension Training. He doesn't hold a US certificate such as NASM or ACE.
Yes, that's Personal Gym Training: $25 a session or $223 for 12. Set your phone on a bench or the floor at your YMCA branch, Healthworks or the fitness room in your building, and your coach runs every set live. A video coach can't spot a heavy bench press, so keep a partner nearby for max attempts.
Book through the form on this page or on WhatsApp. US cards are accepted and plans are charged in dollars, from $25 a session or $223 for a 4-week plan of 12 sessions. You can move any session with 24 hours' notice, which helps during finals week, a double shift or a nor'easter.
