Personal Gym Training
Your coach on the phone propped by the rack, whether that's Crunch in Carmel Valley, a YMCA branch or the fitness room in your UTC complex.
From $25 / session
After-work sessions on video, with no second drive on the 805.
San Diego trains outdoors more than most cities, but the coaching usually means another freeway drive to a gym and $59 to $149 a session. MakeMyFitness brings the coach to your screen instead: 45 minutes of one-on-one strength work at home, in your complex gym or at the Crunch you already belong to, with every rep watched and corrected. Our coaches are based in India, so San Diego sessions run after work and very early, from $25.

Why San Diego trains online
Most San Diego days already include a freeway: the 5, the 8, the 805 or the 163. A live session at home skips the extra drive to meet a trainer, the parking lot and the drive back.
If your apartment in Mission Valley or University City has a fitness room, prop your phone on the dumbbell rack. Your coach builds each set around the kit that's actually there.
San Diego gets 9.79 inches of rain a year, so outdoor plans rarely wash out. Use the boardwalk and Cowles Mountain for fun, and let three coached strength sessions a week do the structured work.
NOAA's 1991–2020 normals for San Diego International Airport put January at 66.4°F (19°C) by day and 50.3°F (10°C) at night, and August at 77.3°F (25°C). Seventeen miles inland, El Cajon averages 88.6°F (31°C) in August. May Gray and June Gloom keep the coast cloudy into the afternoon, and Santa Ana winds bring dry, hot days about 10 times a year. A session in your living room doesn't care which one you get.

Questions people in San Diego ask before their first session.
The ten San Diego trainers on Fyt's marketplace listed starting rates of $59 to $149 a session in October 2026, averaging $94. FitBudd's May 2026 table, which doesn't list San Diego, puts Los Angeles and San Francisco at $80 to $200 or more. MakeMyFitness runs one-on-one online personal training for San Diego at $25 per 45-minute session, where a certified coach watches every rep over video and fixes your form as you go.
Our coaching team works from India. San Diego sessions run from 4:30 PM to 6:30 AM Pacific time in winter and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 AM in summer, when daylight saving time starts. Pick 5:30 to 10 PM or 5 to 6:30 AM and your time never moves when the clocks change. Most San Diegans book 6 or 7 PM, once they're home from work.
In India, and that's why San Diego slots fall in the evening and at dawn. Kumar Abhishek, who leads our coaching team, trained at K11 School of Fitness Sciences, earning its Diploma in Personal Training and its Human Performance Nutritionist certificate, and he's certified in TRX Suspension Training. NASM, ACE and other US certificates aren't among his credentials, and we tell every client that before they book.
Usually, yes. A set of dumbbells up to 50 lb, a bench and a cable or band covers most programs, and your coach plans around what's there. Prop your phone where the camera sees your whole body. If the room is busy at 6 PM, a living room with a yoga mat's worth of floor works just as well.
Send the booking form here or message us on WhatsApp. We take US cards and bill in dollars: Personal Gym Training is $25 for one session or $223 for a four-week block of 12. You can move any session with 24 hours' notice, which helps when a deployment, a late lab run or a work trip changes your week.
Do both. San Diego's coast averages 66°F even in January, so running Mission Bay's 14 miles of paths or hiking Cowles Mountain is easy to keep up. What the outdoors doesn't give you is progressive strength training with someone checking your form. Three coached sessions a week at $25 each fill that gap, and they still happen on Santa Ana days when the air is hot, dry and smoky.
