The cheapest way to get a personal trainer in Abu Dhabi is to share one with a friend, join a small group, or train with a coach on live video. Hiring a trainer on your own is the expensive route. ServiceMarket’s Abu Dhabi price list, dated 25 April 2026, charges AED 269 for one person and AED 349 for two people training together in a general fitness session at home. Split two ways, that pairs session is AED 174.50 each.

Salonist, a booking platform that lists Abu Dhabi fitness venues, says sessions in the capital typically start at AED 150 and can reach AED 400 or more, depending on the trainer’s experience. That range covers studio and gym trainers as well as the home visits on ServiceMarket’s list. A live 45-minute session with MakeMyFitness costs AED 92 in your own gym and AED 104 at home, and Group Classes cost AED 58 per person.

A home personal trainer in Abu Dhabi charges AED 269 to AED 299 a session for one person on ServiceMarket’s list. General fitness and bodybuilding are the lower rate. Yoga and boxing are AED 30 more. Adding a second person costs AED 80 to AED 100 on top, which is why couples in Khalifa City or Al Reef villas often book together.

ServiceMarket says its monthly totals can differ by a day or two depending on the length of the month. Its guide also says buying several sessions at once can bring the per-session price down, and that it charges the same for male and female trainers in Abu Dhabi.

Does a female personal trainer cost more in Abu Dhabi?

Choose coaching that fits your goals and comfort.

No. ServiceMarket’s Abu Dhabi guide states that its prices are the same for male and female trainers. That matters in a city where many women prefer to train with a woman, or only in a women-only space. Women-only facilities are easy to find in Abu Dhabi, and several chains list them on their own pages.

  • GymNation says every one of its Abu Dhabi branches has a fully separate ladies’ facility with its own entrance, female coaches and women-only sessions. The branches are at Khalidiyah Mall, Mushrif Mall and Shams Boutik on Al Reem Island.
  • Warehouse Gym runs Yas Bay Ladies on the Yas Bay Waterfront, open 5:30 AM to 11 PM on weekdays and 7 AM to 10 PM at weekends, from AED 430 a month.
  • Salonist’s Abu Dhabi listings include Evolve Ladies Fitness Club and Smash Fit Ladies Gym in Mohammed Bin Zayed City and A2Z Ladies Fitness Center in Al Khalidiyah.

Training at home with a coach on video is the other option. You choose where the phone sits and what it sees, and nobody comes to the door. Many women in Abu Dhabi villas and flats train this way because it keeps the session private.

What does a gym membership cost in Abu Dhabi in 2026?

A gym membership in Abu Dhabi costs AED 209 a month at GymNation and from AED 430 a month at Warehouse Gym, on each chain’s branch pages checked on 28 October 2026. GymNation’s three Abu Dhabi branches charge the same at every tier. Warehouse Gym’s premium clubs cost about twice as much and include more: an Olympic pool at Sheikha Fatima Park, recovery rooms and access to 15 clubs.

GymNation’s middle tier, Plus, is AED 240 a month and opens every GymNation in the UAE. That suits someone who lives on Reem and works near Mushrif Mall. Its Signature tier adds HYROX and BLITZ classes, but the booking link names a 6-month plan, so check the term before you sign. GymNation’s Abu Dhabi page also advertises memberships from AED 99 a month in its search description while its FAQ says AED 209, so ask which price applies on the day you join.

Warehouse Gym’s Premium+ tier, from AED 734 a month, adds unlimited Reformer, CrossFit and HYROX classes, four guest passes and four recovery treatments. The Sheikha Fatima Park club, on two floors, lists Olympic lifting platforms, an official HYROX club, steam rooms and saunas. Neither club page shows a personal training price; Warehouse Gym’s trainer page offers a free consultation instead.

Abu Dhabi’s gyms follow its geography: a central island, newer residential islands, and a mainland that keeps spreading east. What a trainer or gym costs you also depends on how far either of you has to drive, because a home trainer based in Mussafah charges the same rate whether the client is next door or on Saadiyat.

If you live in a tower on Al Reem Island, Al Raha Beach or Al Maryah Island, check what your building gym has before you pay for a membership. A rack, a bench and a set of dumbbells up to 25 kg are enough for a year of progress if someone is planning the sessions.

Three months of personal training in Abu Dhabi, at three sessions a week, costs from AED 2,454 to more than AED 10,000, depending on who coaches you. Three months is a fair test of any trainer: long enough to see your lifts climb, short enough to change course. This table takes the published prices above and multiplies them out to 36 sessions.

The MakeMyFitness rows use three 4-week plans of 12 sessions. A single session bought on its own costs more: AED 92 for gym training and AED 104 at home, against AED 818 and AED 935 for 12.

MakeMyFitness sits below the bottom of Abu Dhabi’s published trainer range, at AED 92 for a live 45-minute session against Salonist’s AED 150 starting point. The difference is that your coach isn’t in the room. Every session is a live video call: the coach watches you through your phone camera, counts your reps, corrects your form as you move and changes the plan when the dumbbell rack in your Al Raha tower only goes to 20 kg.

Each one-to-one session lasts 45 minutes, and a 4-week plan is 12 sessions, three a week. Slots run from 4:30 AM to 6:30 PM UAE time all year, because our coaches are based in India, 90 minutes ahead. In Abu Dhabi that means a 5 AM session before the drive off the island, a 4 PM session after a 3:30 PM government finish, or a Friday session once offices close at noon. You can move a session with 24 hours’ notice, and you can train from a hotel room if work takes you to Riyadh or London for a week.

What to ask an Abu Dhabi trainer or gym before you pay

Discuss your goals, qualifications and session details before choosing a coach.
Discuss your goals, qualifications and session details before choosing a coach.
  1. 1

Ask for the 12-session total, in writing

Chains in Abu Dhabi quote personal training at the club. Ask for the full price of 12 sessions, the expiry date and what happens to sessions you don’t use, then compare it with ServiceMarket’s AED 3,228 a month for home sessions.

  2. 2

    Check the membership term

GymNation’s Signature booking link names a 6-month plan, while Core and Plus are listed as pay-monthly. Know which one you are signing before your card is charged.

  3. 3

    Use the free starter session

GymNation says every new member gets one free personal training session, and Warehouse Gym offers a free consultation. Use them to judge how a trainer cues you before you buy a package.

  4. 4

    Ask about the drive

If a home trainer lives on the mainland and you live on Saadiyat or Yas, ask whether they charge for travel, and what happens to your session if they are stuck on the bridge.

  5. 5

    Plan for summer travel

Many Abu Dhabi residents leave for weeks in July and August. Ask whether a package can be frozen, or whether the sessions expire while you are away.

  6. 6

    Ask where the trainer qualified

A good trainer tells you which certificate they hold and where they studied, and doesn’t mind if you check.

Which Abu Dhabi option suits you?

Compare the cost and what each option includes.
  • A trainer in the room suits you if you are lifting heavy enough to need a spotter, or if you want hands-on cues for your first month. Budget AED 150 to 400 a session, plus a gym.
  • A home trainer from ServiceMarket suits a villa in Khalifa City, Al Reef or Mohammed Bin Zayed City with room for kit, and anyone who trains only when someone rings the bell. Budget AED 269 a session, or AED 349 for two.
  • A women-only gym suits you if you want a separate space and female coaches on the floor. GymNation’s Abu Dhabi branches have one from AED 209 a month.
  • MakeMyFitness suits you if you have a building gym, a gym membership or two square metres of floor, and you want every session planned and watched for AED 92. We don’t suit you if you need someone physically spotting a heavy bench press, or if you can only train after 6:30 PM.
